  2. anytime steelman, just trying to help out a fellow fisherman, maybe a trip out then, let me know,we will hopefully be out on the weekends for the rest of the season.
  3. i found a piece of property through limestone ridge properties.the guys name is eric gantley.he has quite a few properties with or without a camp on them.you can buiy the property out right or he does a lease to buy, which is what i did.put 10% down and he finances the rest over seven years with no interest.my property is about 20 minutes from mexico point.i bought a cheap pop up camper and put it on the property and we use it every weekend.i like it better than going to a camp ground cause in 7 years, its yours and no more payments!!!!taxes are 300 bucks a year.
  4. hey steelman,i have some extra/backup stuff i would lend you to finish out the season.im in mexico bay.let me know.sorry for your loss.
  5. check the weather and wave reports before you go anywhere!!!!!
  6. ive done similar to what capt. spike said.ive made brackets out of aluminum or stainless, mount pump and switch to bracket and slide the whole unit where it needs to be and screw bracket down somewhere that is accessible.you may have to do some bending and shaping of the bracket to fit the contour of the hull, but it makes life alot easier to install and change them out when they crap out or to take apart to clean the screen.
  7. $4.69 a gallon for 91 octane ethanol free at mikes in the little salmon.
  8. salmon still mia in mexico bay.fished saturday north dune for lakers.we wanted to at least see a rod move.got tired of catching them after 2 hours.we did at least a dozen and dropped a few and had numerous knock offs.5 or so were over 10 lbs, biggest being 16.cowbells on the bottom.down speed 1.9 to 2.1.138 fow was the sweet spot.we turned and started trolling back towards south towards port with a mix of spoons, meat, and f/f.made it past big salmon and never moved a rod.picked up and ran home.went out todaystraight out from little salmon, started in 80 fow worked out to 200 and back and never moved a rod!!!!guys are doing well in 80-90 fow with browns, but it is an early bite.oh yeah,if anyone snags a fish hwk probe and 16 lb torpedo let me know,i will give you a reward!!!!

Sold / Closed 24 ft Sea Ray

i fished on this boat last year in six footers and it handled them great.boat is solid and fishes great.would make someone looking to get into a bigger boat areal nice package.
  19. went out after the storms blew through today .fished from 9 to 2.went 1 for two.10 lb king on a mountain dew paddle and green fly down 80 over 150.dipsey out 280 on a 1.5 setting took a shot, but came off quick.that was on a sea sick waddler paddle and a dark green fly.fished 100 to 180 fow.there was more bait around 150,but not much.fished saturday between big salmon and south dune.marked alot of bait between 80 and 130 fow.didnt move a rod,but only fished an hour or so cause someone got sick.
  20. they need to be spending their money on a break wall instead of wasting it on dredging it.thats just a waist of money.dredge it one day and have a big blow the next day and there goes alot of money down the drain.i docked in sandy pond last year and now drive an extra 20 miles to my boat.i know you cant just go build a break wall, but until they do,nothing is gona change.
  21. you would be on a team but actually get put on another boat during the tournament to "observe" to keep people honest.amount of rods in water, landing of fish, size of fish and a few other things.if you are new to fishing the lake or want to learn, like me,i highly recommend being an observer.i observed a couple of tournaments last year and learned a great deal and met some awesome fisherman.
  22. not sure where williamson is,but im in mexico and have 2 spare dipsey set ups you can borrow till you get new ones.send me a pm if interested.
