    i dont think it matters much,the fish seem to be everywhere.we did very good with them last year between the dunes,north of the salmon river,key was around 120 ft of water and being on the bottom.if you trailer your boat,it would be a shorter ride out of oswego to get to the deeper water.#4 or 5 hammerheads with peanuts worked best,but we got them on flasher/flies also.

    if oxidation is bad you will need to rub it out with compound and buffer.i use 3m,which local napa store carries.i stongly recommend collinite wax,marine and aironautics wax,stuff is great,easy to work with and shines great,but dont think it will last forever,you will need to wax every year.

    i bought this for my kicker,but i cant get it to fit properly to work.so its brand new other than i mounted it to the motor.i bought it in december and has a 1 year warranty and i have all the paper work and reciept.its a model 34.this is made by magma mfg.i bought it from bass pro,so you can research it either way.paid 240,i will sell for 150 plus shipping.pm or call 315-357-4337.jason

    hey giz,12 lb seems light to me for lake o,especially for salmon,unless you plan on letting them run.i use 30 lb big game and just put a 10 lb leader on for browns.

    i absolutely would not use any plastic rod holder for salmon,it will be a costly mistake!!!!spend the money on quality metal ones,it will save you in the long run,trust me,i learned the hard way!!!!

    i dont think you want to use that,i would think you would want 5w30,not an i/o guy,but i am a chevy guy and thats what i have always used.

    if you think about going used,i have bought stuff from"the bottom feeder",his stuff is top notch.if you are looking for a local shop to buy from,i recommend jons little salmonn tackle shop in mexico,he is a great guy and has alot of product and has always been very helpful,as i am a newbie with alot of questions.
