  2. I run the cannons on my small boat for browns and l.l.salmon.they work just fine for multiple flatline sticks or cores up to 6 colors.i have never pulled anything longer then 6 colors and have never run them in more then 2 footers.
  3. if you have the money,go for it!!!!!!!
  4. going to try one more time before putting them on ebay.99 fuel injected 25 inch shaft.they are being sold with all the controls and gauges.dont know the hours, motors ran fine when pulled off the boat last year.can be seen and compression check performed in mexico,ny.motors can be put on pallets and both motors will fit in a two place snowmobile trailer.$2,000 each or 3,500 for the pair.
  5. you can try using chunk/live herring or troll.lots of guys troll down south in the newburgh/Kingston area.we fish the catskill area and the only time we use worms is early in the season before the herring show up,but once the herring are around, thats all we use.river basin sports shop in catskill has everything you need.
  6. I repowered my boat with twin 07 250 yammies last season.bought them with 850 hours on them and put almost 300 hours on them last season.never skipped a beat, changed the oil every hundred hours or so.they .run awesome, troll awesome.i believe 08 and newer you can get the "troll control"for them, which you can increase and decrease rpms by increments of 50 through the tach.,really nice for dialing in your trolling speed
  7. 7 years on my taloras, first and only dipsy rods I have ever owned
  8. thanks to chad and everyone else who keeps this site up and running,i have learned a lot from the members on this site and have made some great friendships here as well.hey earl, nice pic.that fish wound up being the biggest caught on my boat this year,.happy new year everyone
  9. hey glen,at least your little bastards smelled good!!!!!
  10. I re-powered my boat with the same motors last winter,i have put over 200 hours on them this year and have only had to change the oil in them.great power, smooth and quiet, both running and trolling.incredible improvement from two-strokes!!!!!
  11. i have used them in front of streamer flies for land locks with some luck.
  12. hey kevin,if you can wait till friday to order an emergency handle,i think I have an extra one you can have, just have to check when I get up there Friday to see if I have it.call me over the weekend.
  13. I have never fished there, but if it’s like any other lake in the Adirondacks, plan on being on the water at sun up and being off by 9 or so,especially if you are planning to fish on the weekend, you may be better waiting till after Labor Day
  14. sticks is on the corner of rt6 and rt.104b in new haven.plenty of parking out front for trailer.it is about 4 miles from mexico point and about 10 miles from wrights in Oswego.mike and bobbi are very nice people,i have never stayed there, but have eaten there plenty of times.i would call asap,as they may already be booked for the end of august.if you stay there, you may even get a few pointers from mike!!
  15. I have a pair of scotty riggers f/s.they are still on the boat and being used.they have dual rod holders, one of which is a multi-axis on each.extendable boom, covers, locks, spare belt and some extra parts included.new cable on one last year and new cable on the other this year.they are mounted on 6" risers.which are new this year.they are a little sun faded, but everything in working order.asking $700.00.located in mexico.or I can bring them to sodus in a few weeks for the pro-am.pm me if you have any questions.

  17. 25 inch shafts,counter rotating
  18. re-powered my boat over the winter,so I have a pair of 1999 evinrude 225 fuel injected motors.motors ran good, just did not troll very well,i would not recommend buying these motors to troll on.they would be great for a speed boat or bass boat or if you troll with a kicker.they are in the shop ready for viewing and compression test.i do not know how many hours are on them and yes they came from salt water, but are in very good shape.will come with dual binnacle controls and all the wiring and oil tanks.i will sell as a pair or I will separate,2,500 each or 4,000 for the pair.p.m. me if you have any questions or for my phone number.motors are located in mexico,ny
  19. just got back from 3 days fishing out of catskill, boated 4,lost 3,and had several good runs we never hooked up on.tried several different spots both up river and down river,temp.42 to 44 degrees on sunday.the water coming out of catskill creek was between 47 and 50 degrees,so we anchored up outside the creek in the warmer water and that's where we had all our bites.best time seemed to be right in the middle of both tides.couple runs on live herring, but all fish hooked up on was on chunks on the bottom.nothing hot and heavy, but the weather was great, other then today, was very windy.have not fished stripers in about 5 years, forgot how much fun it is to just anchor up,drop your baits and wait for the scream!!!!!!
  20. finhooker charters 570-282-4368 or 315-591-1345 or totally hooked charters 845-594-3372,both fish out of the Kingston area.
  21. heading down to the Hudson next week, hoping to fish out of catskill if the fish have made it that far north.i like to anchor up along channel edges or behind breaks in the current like bridge pilings or rock piles.preferred bait for us is cut herring and 1 live one swimming around.you can find bait at river basin sport shop, right in catskill 518-943-2111 or riverview marine services,518-943-5311,which is right near the launch.
