  1. Good point. I was wondering if it had a shifter. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Maybe a worn clutch dog? It transfers power to the prop. If it's worn it can make the motor jump out of gear. Sometimes you can flip them over and use the reverse gear side for your forward. Looks like a round piece of tubing with teeth on top and bottom. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. You are welcome. Yeah I know it can be frustrating. I have a black rod holder boat and a blue one. Color is important! I find being patient for the right deal helps. Eventually it will show up. I will keep my eye open too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Wow, sorry to hear that. I just asked Big Jon yesterday if I could buy a gold rod holder and they said the same thing. They should be able to do a one-off order for you, unless it's a supplier problem, but there are several anodizing shops in Michigan. Another solution would be to buy the raw pre-anodized pieces from them and send them out yourself, if that's even possible. I know they make most, if not all their components in Michigan. I've used anodizing shops before for downrigger parts that I've machined and the costs were reasonable. It varies based on the number of parts and size. Just a thought... 6. PAP, here is a link to a restoration product (Liquid Wood) though I usually use West Systems epoxy. Another fix is to temporarily screw down a piece of treated plywood. https://www.abatron.com/product-category/wood-restoration-maintenance/ Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Carbon 14, Oscar, Mongolian Beef, Happee Meal, Flounder Pounder, Double Trouble. I haven't tried the RV series yet. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  9. Those dodger colors are perfect for adding to your Lake Trout bottom bouncing arsenal. They work on days when other hardware and colors don't. Nice deal. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Looks like they are $29.09 on Amazon for Scotty product number 2132, which should fit downrigger models 2106, 2116, and 2101. Seems to be a common issue. I run Cannons but have heard that Scotty customer service is great. Of course you likely need a quicker fix. Hopefully Tin Cup's offer will work out. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  13. To my knowledge, Garmin doesn't make a transducer sharing switch for the Ecomap products. It wasn't covered under the NMEA 2000 for data sharing (the national marine standard for units sharing data). Ecomap Units can possibly share mapping and waypoint data but not transducer data. Units that can share transducers generally do so via an Ethernet connection. You may want to confirm this yourself by contacting Garmin. I'm not familiar with the 93 series. 15. Hope all is well with the medical situation. Deep water trolling is like flying an airplane. Many settings, switches, and plugs to maintain and sometimes only the captain knows about them. Difficult to remain focused when situations like this come up. Hoping for the best for you. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. I bought a 12lb set from Harvey this summer. They are awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. Daiwa Sealine LC5 reels are on sale at Cabelas for around $86. Not sure how long the sale will last. I mainly use Okuma Convectors and Sealines. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. This season I ran my 2 Cannon Mag 10's off a NAPA deep cycle battery using a stand-alone Minn Kota power center box that has a built-in circuit breaker. I found that even after 2 trips of trolling, the battery was still at full charge. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. (Edited) I initially thought you were talking about the drags sticking. Lincounters - yeah they stick. You can oil them like ERABBIT says below. Mine have a hole drilled through the button with a split ring through it - prevents it from sticking in the pushed position. And Cabelas warranties all their product.
  21. Online at dicks sporting goods right now they are buy 4, get 2 free. That's about $6.33 each for the Bay Rats. Until tomorrow at midnight. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Wow, that almost looks older than a 50's model. But maybe looks that way because the bottom cowl is missing. It could be a 1950. Nice find. I have a similar vintage 3hp Evinrude. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Thank you everyone. Still stable, no baby yet. Will be at 24 weeks on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Thank you each and every one for the prayers and kind thoughts. I appreciate it. Great to hear similar stories. Yes, we are relying on friends and family, without them this would be impossible. Relying on others is tough, because as a Dad you always want to be in control. I have to hand this one over....... Yes modern technology is amazing. I think we are in the best place we could be. They have teams of people ready for baby and my wife. As of this morning, things are still stable. Wife and unborn baby are doing good. Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. Well after having a great season so far, my family and I are in a new season and it doesn't involve fishing. My wife is 23 weeks pregnant and her water broke last week. I would ask you to pray that she can make it through this week without going into labor, as each week is critical for the baby. I will need prayer as well to use wisdom in managing my household, as we adjust to this new challenge. We are looking at up to 17 weeks in the hospital. -David & Vanessa Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
