I'm researching purchasing a new hunting dog and I am leaning towards the wirehaired pointing griffon. I have read guys train them for ducks although they are mainly upland bird dogs. I would used for upland and waterfowl. Anyone have experience with this breed?

Went to Iroquois last Tuesday for the first time. So much fun. I live 15 minutes from there. Can't believe I've never gone. Took 2 mallards and 2 teal. My buddy took 5. Awesome time. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I am fairly new to Lake O fishing and I very appreciative of all the information provided on this site. It has helped me get set up and fishing. I need help learning my fish species. I have compared this fish to online photos and I am not sure if its a steelhead because some photos of cohos look similar. Caught it off of the Oak in 95 FOW on a dipsy out 150' on a DW Halo Blue Dolphin just east of the breakwall this past Sunday. My wife did a great job of netting it! Thanks for the help.

Up until the last few weeks I haven't fished Ontario since I was a kid with my uncle. Even though I don't have a traditional fishing boat it has been great to get back on the lake and get the lines wet. Yesterday I took my 12 year old daughter out and we caught one small one going out of the Oak. The great thing is she said she wants to go again! Looks like I have a fishing partner.

I will be docking my boat at Silver Lake for the summer. I am looking forward to spending some time with the wife and kids on the water. I have not spent much time fishing here but I hope to hook up with some pike and maybe some walleye. Any tips are much appreciated.
