Fishing was slow but managed to get 5 nice eyes. All on different baits and at different depths. All in all a great day of fishing with great company, even if he is from south dakota.

I am going to try to help you with this from some very expensive experience. Fuel seperator is the only way to go, inside the casing there are check balls on the discharge side of the casing that will not allow one motor to rob fuel from the other. Separaters are fairly cheap and easly serviced, also you should consider using non ethonol fuel, it is available at a few local stations and at most marinas. Good chance these 2 things could save you 3 or 4 thousand dollars. good luck

Have any of you tried the Okuma Cold Water reels? Would like your opinions, I use Okuma Convectors now, they are ok I guess, they're better after Tunas got done with them. I am going to add 4 more outfits to a second boat, thought I might try something different. Thanks
I needed 4 reels repaired, upon advice from this forum, I called Tunas Reel Troubles and spoke with Paul, he told me to box up the reels and send them to him. Last saturday I did just that, tuesday @ 10 AM paul called me and said my reels were done and on thier home! Talk adout customer service! I expected at least a couple of weeks! And the price was right in line with what was quoted. Now if I could just get the people that have had my 4 cannon downriggers since november to at least call me I would be real happy

I am going to replace all of my downrigger rods this year, thinking of Diawa Heartlands, any opinions? I replaced all of my reels last year with Okuma Convector 30 class line counters, witch I'll be using. Also where to buy? I have been using Bretts Place for quite a while, but I see he is gone, any help? Thanks
absolutley!!! the openening day of walleye season on the black river bay @ sacketts can be a real zoo. i use otter boats and removed one of the scews that hold the keel on and replaced it with a 24 in piece of threaded rod witch i tie a piece of chartruse surveyer ribbon./ i really think it scares people, for some reason they don't seem to pay to much attention to blaze orange but the bright chartruse waving in the breeze gets thier attension
