  1. Just post the pictures here - you will get a lot more business that way rather than making people jump through hoops to see a photo.
  2. The ducer had the paddle wheel on it for the x4d. Ducers should all be the same. So it should be a direct swap of the displays and the display units and that's it.
  3. Why do you say you would need a new probe if you already have the X4D? When I talked to fishhawk, they said a direct swap of the display units work for both probes. If you have an X4 probe, it just wouldnt display the depth on the display so therefore a X4D probe would display everything.
  4. Just confirmed with Fish Hawk. There display is a direct swap in if you have the newer X4 or X4D probe and ducer. If you have an X4 probe, it just wont show the depth. Price point is going to be $350 for the display unit by itself. I just wish they would offer some upgrade package/trade in for people who just dropped nearly $700 for the X4D package in the last year.
  5. Everything else is the same. If you want the depth though, I think the probe is different. The problem I see is, would someone even want to buy just an X4D display? If not, then its going to be a full $300 to upgrade.
  6. So are they meant more for meat rigs or for flies. I noticed that the fish shaped ones in different brands tend to be used more for meat. I would like to get my flasher/fly program set this year. I run a mix of all different kinds of 8" blades and SDs with flies. I just need to settle on a single brand or 2 to get things dialed in.
  7. Anyone see the new Fishhawk display unit yet? Was in the last issue of Great Lakes Angler. Here are some of the features: - Ability to send the display via bluetooth to your smartphone - Surface speed has been added back on the XD - Can log each fish caught with the actual readings from the unit at the time of the catch on your phone - Red/Orange back light instead of blue I bought my X4D last summer brand new....and looks like Im going to have to upgrade already. I really didnt like having to use GPS speed to read the currents (surface vs current speed) so will be nice to have surface speed on the unit. The catch log is also a great feature since it will really help dial in setups.
  8. What do you recommend for Lake Michigan salmon for leadcore leaders? 30lb or 20lb fluro?
  9. The remainder of the spoons are up on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/vetting/m.html?item=381083076868&hash=item58ba524904&pt=Binocular&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Thanks again guys for the purchases!
  10. Pending sale on lot 4,5,6, and 7
  11. Yeah for Kings it was the same story for Lake Michigan on the east and west sides. There were long time charters that pulled in their first skunk ever this year. Im not talking about the having a bunch of rookies who miss-handle the rods on 5 fish either - Im talking about a full charter trip without a bite. So since we have totally different stocking numbers and patterns, wouldnt that indicate that there is a commonality between Lake O and Lake Michigan?
  12. Cant beat an electric. We use them all the time in the harbor in Milwaukee - drills faster and a ton less noise. I've been using a buddies icegator auger for the last few years. Its important here because the water is crystal clear in the winter (can count the pebbles on the bottom in 18ft of water) and brown trout are easily spooked. So gas/propane vs electric is really determined by what you are fishing for. If you need to hole hope and drill 80 holes chasing after gills, then go with gas. If you need a stealth approach and drill less than 40 holes, then electric is the way to go.
  13. Last chance before I start posting them on eBay.
  14. Funny thing is the exact same thing here on Lake Michigan. Put 900 miles on water this year trying to track down fish - the kings just werent there. I think we caught maybe a total of 12 4-year-old kings. Most of the year was dominated by steelhead, small kings, and dragging bottom for lakers. In Milwaukee a thermalcline never set up until late August. Then it was around for 1 week and then the lake went back to being one temp from top to bottom again. I cant even count the number of lakers that I caught on leadcore....and Im not talking 10 colors - Im talking 2 to 5 colors. Fishing the run here in the marina and river were also slower than normal. Personally, I think something happened to that stock. I know they cut back on stocking a few years ago, but it just seemed like a ton less fish returning this year.

  18. Aren't the or18 around 15 bucks a piece - sick switching over 6 boards at that cost.
  19. I lost probably the biggest fish of my life last year due to the front clip of the board coming loose and going down to the swivel last year. Seems like every big fish ends up popping the board loose when it sinks the board. Is there a different kind of clip that you can put on the front to actually pinch the line? Im not a fan of wrapping the line around multiple times.
  20. Everything has been sold! Thanks guys. I'll be posting some spoons in a bit.
  21. Lot 7 is officially sold.
  22. Still not any way to run a business. You cant leave people hanging for months. I thought about ordering some but after reading this.....having second thoughts.
  23. None of the silver ones are bloody nose except for the silver/greens in the jointed lot and a few other colored ones in the other lots. You can just add a bit of nailpolish to plugs - just dont tell the wife.
