There are several good Taxidermist... Animal Art, Fran Mosier, did my PB ice Eye and I think it looks better than the actual fish did...he does not do replicas so you might have to shop around. There is a guy on here that has shown some awesome work and he lives in the Mexico area as well. His handle on here is Fishmounter. He does replicas...

Well the Salmon fishing on the East end of the lake has humbled and baffled me. My last 5 outings has resulted in one break off and one dropped fish...by far my biggest struggle. So myself and a couple friends decided to shift gears and head out for Gold instead. We all had some spots in mind to try and find the elusive Lake O giants. We first started out catching a few bass and as it got dark we thought they outsmarted us again. We kept working the area into the night and about 30 minutes after dark a rod went...Boom, 26" 7 pound fish! We made another pass and Boom 30.5" 10 pound fish! We started to make another pass and the wind started to pick up. We decided to call it. What an awesome fish, it never gets old and it is never easy, but everytime you have the privilege to hold one of these monsters it just makes your day...it keeps you coming back...I don't usually keep these big fish but they had significant damage when they inhaled the baits, a little mercury doesnt hurt every once in a while! The 10 pounder may make my buddies wall, they were packed on ice. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I'll have to look and see how the hook contacts the cable, or if it does...

Thanks...I just did. Didn't see anything on either side...cut the cable above the frays and put new terminations on...glad I didn't lose a weight. I guess it was good maintenance on a rainy windy day...hopefully it was just two freak things where it got kinked and frayed. Ill watch it closely. I second Fran at Animal Art in Mexico. Fran has always done good work for me and my friends. I had a 16" Crappie done at Fish Wish and while I have seen good work that she does, my Crappie looks terrible and nothing like the fish that I caught. The girth coming up above the head is cut off straight to the dorsal fin... Very disappointed in the work. I wouldn't go back, Fran is the guy I use.

Interesting...thanks for the input, I just got back from Woody's with new terminations...I am going to cut above the fray, inspect the rest and put new terminations on. Man, why is it every time I go to the tackle shop I need to buy a bunch of other stuff that I didn't know I needed! LOL

Good job, I was out yesterday morning until about 1030 and a couple hours the night before. I struggled...I did mark a good amount of fish but they would not go, I broke one off the night before that was pretty frustrating, first break off of the year. Right before I picked up yesterday I found good temperature down 90-120 and I watched a guy next to me hook up and land a good fish. Of course I had to be at a party at noon. There are a lot of fish out there, they just don't seem to be feeding outside their temperature zone. Again great job! -
I have 2 new Cannon Magnum 5ST riggers and in the first season with them I have a fray in the cable at about 40' on one and about 110' feet on the other. I have never had this issue with Cannon manuals or Big Jon electrics that I had previous. I am more like a weekend warrior now but I have 30 years experience fishing the Lake. Has anyone else had this problem and is there something I need to do different to prevent these random frays in the cable. I'm getting new terminations today but I would hope I could prevent future frays from just raising and lowering the riggers. Thanks for any advice or information...
