  1. I've read some older posts regarding Bob Fuller spoons. Doe anyone know if he's still in business? Where I may get any info or get in contact with him? Thanks and Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam, N H
  2. I put the Cisco rod folders on my sport angler. Not cheap, but heavy duty, and worth the extra cash. Boat Safe Egoody

  6. Is anyone fishing in the Little Sodus Bay Area? (Browns or Salmon) I'm coming up for a week on May 3rd and am looking for any reports anyone may have. Thanks and Boat Safe Egoody
  7. I've always stacked the riggers. Outside deep with the top inside one approx 10 ft higher up. I use the chamberlain stacker release on top and roemer on the bottom with a rubber band. Rarely ever get tangled. Don't be afraid to try different set ups. Find what works for you. Boat Safe Egoody
  8. Sk8man, Thank you for all of your your replys to me and I'm sure everyone else appreciates them too. Maybe our paths will cross in the future so I can thank you personally. Get well soon.... Boat Safe Egoody
  9. I just bought 2 of the cisco set-ups that mount into the sport tracks in the gunnels of my Sport Angler. They each have two rod holders bolted to the brackets that attach into the T-slots. I wish I could tell you how they work, but the damn ice is keeping me from launching. They are rugged as all get out and a bit pricey, but I figure you get what you pay for. Boat Safe Egoody
  10. Does anyone have any experience using the diawa accudepth, 9.5 ft , heavy weight rated rods for dipsey's Boat Safe Egoody
  11. Sk8man, As I'm relatively new to fishing lake Ontario and that I only get out there once or twice a year I'm trying to figure out what eqipment would work the best for me without dedicating gear that i only use rarely. I've read about every post regarding regarding wire and dipsey's and I'm thinking that I might be bettter served going with braid with dipsey's vs the cost of the wire and the amount that I would be using it. I have two Okuma 45D line counters and in a previous post I made, I was told these were too big, that I should be using the 30 class Reels if I wanted to rig them with 1000 ft of steel. On May 3rd, ice out permitting, we're fishing out of little soudus. It seems Browns are in more of the shallow water vs any salmon and lakers will be out deep. I have 2 cannon 10STX downriggers, so getting down deep isnt a problem, I'll have 2 lead core set ups and now the question of whether I spring for two 30 class Okumas with 1000 feet of wire. I did order two dipsey's but I don't remember the #, just that they are capable of getting down 100 ft. Again I want to thank you and everyone who offers there suggestions and experiences. This is greatly appreciated. Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam, NH
  12. Again, Thanks for all your input. I currently have a 47H with 10 colors of 27# with braid backing. I was wondering if the 18# would let me get 20 colors on. Boat Safe Egoody
  13. OK....... Thank you for the info. I'll put 10 colors on with backing. Boat Safe Egoody
  14. Go to the dreamweaver web site, and look at the pro pak tab http://www.dreamweaverlures.com I subscribed to the Dream Weaver pro pak program two months ago. So far I've received two paks. They included spoons, spin dr's and meat heads. Every one has more than exceeded the $24 I paid for each month. They offer different lengths of months you can sign up for, I only signed up for three months. You never know what's in the box, but that's he fun of it. I've seen other posts here and they have been positive too. Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam NH
  15. Does anyone know if 200 yards of 18# lead core will fit on a Daiwa 47H? Thanks for any info you can provide. Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam, NH
  16. Can someone advise me whether I should set up 2 reels with 30# wire or copper? What are the advantages of one over the other? I've run a steel flat line before, but I've never run dipsey's or boards. Is it worth my while to invest in this gear where I only fish lake "O" twice a year for a week at a time. Thanks Egoody
  17. Fish USA had pre-spooled copper and wire Okuma reels for sale on their web site
  18. I just bought 4 cisco rod holders. 2 each mounted on their triple cross plates. These will be mounted on my Lund Sport Angler, in the sport track gunnel. They look fantastic, can't wait to use them when we get to Little Sodus Bay, for our spring trip to lake "O". Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam, NH
  19. Doghouse How far back from the ball when you're running them at 3 ft deep? Thanks Egoody
  20. I'm looking for any recommendations or experiences with the following brand of rods. The warranty and price seems favorable. JBI Rods Great Lakes Series EC902DD 9' Heavy Dipsy Diver Rod 2 Pc 3 Year Manufacture Warranty Boat safe Egoody
  21. What are your tecommendations for replacing the hooks on spoons? I have a box full of spoons in sizes from NK mags and michigan stingers down to small needle fish and speedy shiners. I'm interested to see if you'd recommend single or treble, what sizes, and is ther a specific brand or type? Thanks for your recommendations. Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam, NH
  22. As I only get to Lake Ontario twice a year, spring and late summer, I haven't experienced the flea problem yet. When do they become a problem? We're fishing out of little sodas bay in early May. I'd like to rig lighter lines for browns, but is there a happy medium in the chance we hook up with a king? Thanks for your information Boat safe Egoody
  23. I'm looking to add traxstech tracks to my 1800 sport angler. Traxstech has some mounting brackets that use the tee slots in the gunwales that the tracks are bolted to. I'm planning to mount a 4 in down rigger riser for the cannon 10 stx's and then 2 Bert's rod holders in a 36 inch long track. Does anyone have any experience with a system like this? I' m worried that it may not be stiff enough to support the down riggers. Any info would be great before I spend the money to buy something that I may not be happy with. Boat Safe Egoody Fitzwilliam, NH
  24. I've just signed up for the three month pro-pack deal and am waiting for the Jan 014 shipment. Looking forward to recieving it. Boat Safe Egoody
  25. Thank you everyone for your reply's. Looks like I'll go with the convector 30's with 1,000 feet of wire. Seeing that I only visit lake O for a week in the spring and the fall, I'll pick out a couple of less expensive okuma dipsey rods. We're staying in Little Sodus Bay in May, hoping to to pick up some spring browns, I'll look for more brown techniques as it gets closer to May. Again thanks for you information. Boat safe Egoody
