  2. Congrats on the beautiful fish!!!! Happy birthday as well! Seems like we can’t make our own choice, possibly it’s their fish? Kinda like deer hunting nowadays... [emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I am very glad everything worked out... I fish with the same crew, dad, sons etc, I couldn’t imagine that happening .. thank you for telling your story. It definitely opened my eyes as to how things can happen quick.. as well as we should all learn from this.. be prepared and expect the unexpected. I hope everything works out the best it can for you and you will get back on the water when your ready. The convo with the diver, wow, very humbeling. Interested as to see the pictures, Starcraft a tuff boat... mine held up to skidding across a exposed shoal a few weeks bac in the Adirondacks, was choppy that day and couldn’t see it in low valleys of the waves or maybe I just got lucky???? 8. Headed up to Stillwater reservoir to do a wilderness camping trip with the fam. Taking boat as to that is only way to get to camp sites.. social distancing at its finest... i know there are splake in there and was curious as to tactics to catch them. I plan on trying back in big burnt area which is the depest part of the reservoir. I recall about 15 yrs ago seeing a troller down rigging. Bringing lead, dipsey and riggers... any thought or suggestions much appreciated. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Took boat out this weekend after I adjusted the transducer. Put line that is on the side of the transducer even with the haul and all issues were solved! Thanks again for all the input Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. FYI.... this is a 13 year old your talking about that... I will make sure this gets taken care of... for the rest of you... well your need to find something better to do than bash people or be on this site 24/7 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Frogger, I will take a look at those bunks. Should I trim them back a little? Boat trailers extremely well and I tow with a Tacoma. Afraid to change where boat rests on trailer. Came from the factory like that. I never really liked it, but boat loads great. Had for 5 years or so. Or I may get a plate and mount ducer to and move to center of boat slightly which would also allow me to mount future things to? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Thanks for all the advice once again! I will adjust accordingly to your guys input. I must of installed on a barn nite with refreshments... can tell by the sloppy marine sealant [emoji482] boat and trailer are in severe need of a bath as well.. once the fishing slows we will worry about all that! 13. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app Finally getting around to posting pics of transducer. Been fishing and finally remembered to take pic after yesterday’s trip. Thanks for all the advice!!
  14. Justtracy - thanks for the knowledge and covering it so throughly. When I try new things I typically am second guessing every little aspect. When I get those swim baits in the mail and tie one on I will be tying them on with confidence of the complete set up due to your advice! I know what works at one place may not at others but I fish multiple places and sure it will at one of them. Fisherman21- nice fish! Way to get er done Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Yankee- I have a lowrance hds gen 1. Not sure of frequency. Will check tonite after work. Earl- I will get pics later and post. Thanks for help on this. I have been fishing for years with out a decent graph.. had a Eagle with a screen that was 3 inc. so I been looking forward to upgradeing and would like to get the most out of it I can. Purchased on this site from a great member who upgraded! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Thanks for the pointers. Yes transom mounted and sensitivity is adjusted for a good screen when trolling. I will look into the rest of suggestions tonite Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Wow, nice work justtracy! That’s a great catch for sure. I am looking for info on those swim jigs. I have always been a Great Lakes troller, which has made me a 1 trick pony. If I had some more jigging experience I am sure that would have benefited us last weekend.... time to learn a few new things Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Hello, I have installed a new to me graph on my boat, when I get on plane there seems to be a lot of disturbance. It still reads the depth but does not show bottom, the whole screen is cluttered with dots, disturbance or what ever it is. Do I have to move it up some? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Wow! Impressive catch, congrats
  20. Fished out of small boat harbor, had a decent walleye chop when we started but laid down through the day. Fished from south gap to smokes, managed 1 eye and a bunch of bass that kept kids busy... funny watching 3 boys try to figure out who’s turn to real or net. There were several hits to the head with the handle as they monkeyed around reeling and netting. 🤣 only 1 way to learn... Erie had trophy bass season so we kept 1 for table fare. After limited success for targeted species we decided to fish lake o on sunday and managed kings and lakers.. all in all it worked out and we had fun as well as got a few fish! FYI... boat is under construction 😂
  21. Thinking Erie is going to be the choice.. if can’t get anything to go or to ruff can try inside break walk or something.. also multiple species to pursue there. As long as something hits the net for the kids we all will be happy. First opener for my youngest son and would love to get him a eye!🤞 thanks again for sharing info! 22. Thank you all for the replies! Have fished lake Alice quite a bit with very limited success.. have fished conessus but only at night. Hopeing to find day bite.. most likely will be doing the river or Erie, but still a little confused🤦🏻‍♂️Justtracy- thank you for all your knowledge you posted as well as willing to help us out!! If I make it down that way one of these days I will be getting in touch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

With that said I have never fished locally for walleyes this early in the season. I live in Kendall. My son asked me dad where are we fishing Saturday for the opener. I said I don’t know as of yet.
