I hunt them mainly after dark and first 2 hours of the morning till it gets really cold. Once the single digits for daytime temps arrive then i will hunt the middle of the day. Lots of pressure up here in NY also but everytime i use to call in the late afternoon the dogs would wait till dark to come in. Plus its a lot of fun shooting them after dark

Now that deer season is over its predator hunting time again! I will be out friday night and saturday night for the first sets of the year. Im seeing plenty of sign so should be a good year for them. Has anyone been out calling at all yet this season?

last sit with the wife trying to get her a deer. We just had a close encounter with a doe but couldnt a good clean shot on her. Hopefully her patients will be rewarded in the next 20 mins or so that we have left. Shes been hunting hard this year with me we just havent had the right shot this year.
