  4. Took my 14 yrs old nephew out this morning for his 2nd youth season. With this wind i knew that he would have a tough time connecting on his shots so we went to the calmest spot i could think of. The morning started off with 2 wood ducks landing in the spread. He jumped them and made 2 nice shots and was rewarded with 2 beautiful drake woodies. He then had a pair of mallards come in and he made a tough shot on a hen mallard at 35 yrds in the wind! We waited for about an hour with nothing then a hen mallard comes sailing in and he made another great shot. We went for about 45 mins without seeing anything but seagulls and comorants till we heard some geese honking. I looked up and some a flock of about 20 going over head so i grabbed the call and here they came even with the spin wings on. They got within 35 yrds and flared so i told him to shoot and he made another great shot as the goose was going overhead. That was pretty much the last birds we saw so we picked up at 930. I know a spot where there are some birds if someone wants to get their kid out. Its in the greece area. Sent from my LG-D631 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. I wont be out till the 15th which makes me a little upset but not as much as having muzzleloader season taken away from me. Nothing better than cold temps and snow to get the big boys moving around again. Sent from my LG-D631 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Ill take it if pike hunter doesnt buy it Sent from my LG-D631 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. I use cover scent more than anything. Deer dander is a product that i never go in the bow woods without. Although it might not attract the deer it definitely has a calming effect on deer that are moving by my stand. Sent from my LG-D631 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. are these sold?
  11. It is legal to kill up to 35 cormorants a day if you have a special permit from the dec i have buddies who do it in Irondequoit bay. They just shot 35 last tuesday evening. I however dont think it is legal to shoot any type of waterfowl from a motorized vessel unless the motor is locked up out of the water. That is how it use to be but i dont own a motorized duck boat anymore so im not totally sure what the rule is now Sent from my LG-D631 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. Was a great year for us but this is only the beginning. We are extremely hungry for more and bigger tournaments so hopefully we can save the money and vacation time over the winter and compete in some pro ams or something big like that next year. Until then have a safe hunting season and winter hopefully we'll see some of you on the hardwater this winter!
