fri was a short trip only 45mins do to the nasty storm that rolled. I ran out to 150 dropped in 2 riggers and a wire dispey. @ riggers pulling spoons one at 65 the other at 85 and the wire at 250 pulling uv sd and green glow atomic fly. When i got all rods in I could see the lightning in the distance so i trolled straight in and took a 10# laker on the dipsey in 130'. Pulled rods right after i revived the fish and let him go. sat my girlfriend and I launched the boat at 6:30 and headed west out of the chute. We dropped in at 65' 2 riggers pulling spoons 2 dipseys pulling ff flies a 10 color leadcore off of 1 planner board pulling a spoon and a 300 copper off the other planner board pulling a spoon also. Riggers were parked at 50 and 60 ft. By the time we hit 85' we had 2 browines in the boat 4 # the other a nice fat 10#. We worked out to 160 and back into 80 taking lakers on everything biggest was 16 and a half pounds we also took several browns in the 5 - 7lb range. We couldnt find any kings at all no matter what we did all in all was a great day on the water sun i was suppose to take my nephew and his buddy out with me but when i got to the boat it was raining all ready and they were calling for thunderstorms by late morning so after a quick call to them i went out solo till the storms blew in. I left the chute with the same plans as yesterday but then i could see as fair number of boat working off of the river so in search of kings i went. I dropped in 2 riggers and a 300 copper down the middle all pulling spoons. I worked from 90 out to 200 and back with only 2 skippy kings to show for it. I went back into the 90' caught 2 quick brownines both under 10# and a laker about 11# and as back to the dock by 12. I dont know what my problem is but i cannot contact a quality king no matter what i do.

Got a new fish finder on the boat last night so i had to go out and play with it. We worked from 80-130' temps were 53 down 75' worked that area with riggers. Took one shot on the port side rigger dragging cowbells but broke the line right behind the boat. Was a king around 10# that was the first king ive ever caught on bells and a spin and glow. Fished for about 2hrs new fish finder is outstanding even though its black and white. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

met Nick at the dock at 5:15 friday morning and quickly made a plan to try and put a derby brown trout on the board and still fish big fish friday at the same time. We dropped in at 60' set out 4 riggers all pulling spoons and a 10 color leadcore pulling a spoon. It was a steady pick of browns for the first hour but nothing over 6lbs. We pointed the boat north going to look for salmon when one of the riggers fires i grab it reel down and immediatley it started ripping. After a brief battle Nick slipped the net under a monster brown. We were standing over the brown in amazment when the rigger right behind me fired and immediatley started ripping Nick grabbed it and after a few minutes i slipped the net under another monster brown and the celebrating started. We weighed the browns and both were saying 13#+ we checked the board and they both should make it. Into the box they go and we went north looking for kings. We had a steady pick of lakers and small kings til about 12:45 when the probe rigger fired and started screaming. Nick grabbed it and we knew if we could land the fish that we would be in the $. The fight lasted about 15 mins and i slipped the net under a really nice king. Our scales were saying 24# and with only an hour and a half til weigh in we just pulled rods and went in. The ride back took about 30 mins and the suspense was killing us. We finally got to weigh in and when it was over we took 3rd place with our king weighing 21.95 lbs. We then went to captains cove to weigh in our browns and come to find out we both just missed the leader board as other browns were weighed in that morning. We had a great day of fishing and just hoped it would carry over to the shootout. Saturday (the shootout) i met Nick and the boys at the boat at 530 and we were off to our way points from the day before but when we got to our water the screens were not good. We put down all 4 riggers pulling spoons 2 wire dipseys pulling ff one 300 copper pulling uv meat rig and one 500 copper pulling echip meat rig. We worked our waters from the day before and after a couple hours we only had one 11# laker in the box. We decided around 11am to go deep hoping to find a couple kings to fill our box with. We caught several steelies but no kings. At the end of the day our box was just 1 laker and 3 steelies all below 7# so we didnt even bother to weigh our box. all well atleast we were in the $ for friday
