    If you are coming from Corning, there is McIntyre bait in Beaver dams on Rt.414 about 7 miles out of Corning. The bait shop on Rt.14 in Montour I haven't seen open and drive by there a lot. If you are coming from Penn Yan there is Beverage Baron behind the Best Western Motel on the corner of Rt.14A and Rt. 54.If you are looking for the LARGEST Tackle Shop in Yates country ,there is Fishy Business on the Bluff by the Keuka Lake State Park. He is open during the winter too but better call to make sure he is there.

    Yes I remember the Sutton whiffletrees for pulling those muti- spoon rigs, as the finger lake fishing people call them "meat rods" Haven't seen those for sale in a long time ,but still use them myself.     I know if you shop some of the smaller gun stores ,they will have them most of the time. There are a few stores in the yates county that carry them. You just have to pay the price.

    Just look for the WHITE line in the water and stay out of Yates country. They have one on the boarder of USA and Canada too.

    I find out the local tackle shops will cater to their customers. If you want some, go to your local shops and buy. Fishy Business on Keuka Lake, Hills Valleys and Streams in Elmira are two great shops in the southern tier.
