  1. The boat I bought last fall came with these on it but since I installed a fishing arch I have no use for them. A pair of Big Jon Quad Rod Trees with quick connect bases which can be mounted to your boat to take on and off. In excellent condition. These list for brand new around $300/piece but asking $500 for the pair OBO. Located in Rochester, NY, would prefer to have them picked up or could meet somewhere close if need be. Please IM for any questions, etc. Tomy
  2. Question, I need to change out the coated downrigger cable on one of my Scotty riggers. I have a Depth Raider system on the boat. Does anyone have a video for proper installation? Thanks
  3. No, but if I felt ‘threatened’ I could have shot one. Over there, you can legally only trap them. I had no shot, some of the thickest woods I’ve seen
  4. It’s one of the more reasonable hunts but like anything there is a range of different cost options depending where you go
  5. Last week I was lucky enough to hunt with an outfitter in northern Saskatchewan on Brabant Lake for spring black bear (Bear Down Outfitters). The first night on the stand I saw two bears and harvested the first one being a good size boar (approx. 250 lbs) at 14 yards with the bow. The bear went about 50 yards before crashing into the woods. It got interesting as I waited on my guide when I heard a twig snap and spotted a large wolf coming downwind and caught the scent of my bear. Luckily, the guide showed up 10 minutes later and we recovered by bear but the wolf had already dragged my bear about 40 yards and ate a portion of his hind leg. Any longer and I would not have been able to salvage my bear. Wolves were everywhere with tracks and sign at almost every spot we saw. The rest of the week I fished for northern pike on the lake, the fishing was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Easily boated close to 200 fish over the course of the week, the last day I caught 69 alone. The country out there was untouched and it was an incredible adventure. One of my bucket list items I always wanted to do. Tomy
  6. Not many people who would join me on that cheer...lol
  7. Green water pretty much everywhere, some mud lines right tight to the shore and around creek and bay mouths
  8. First shakedown on my ‘new to me’ boat. Trolled from the bay to down past Hedges, 10-15 fow. Sticks off the boards and Chinook divers with spoons took all of our fish, bright colors. Easily over 20 bites, all Browns with one being an absolute tank and got a 5.3# walleye to cap it off. Beautiful morning to start our season. Good luck to all.... Tomy
  9. I shoot 400’s, not sure what you are referring to on the other questions. I have not had any issues with my inserts.
  10. I have been using Easton Full Metal Jackets for years, no issues with bending. I have shot multiple deer with them and have been able to clean them off and use them again, even on deer that have took the arrow with them. Very good arrow, not cheap though, although not much is in our sport.....
  11. Is there a Flea Market on Sunday like previous years?
  12. Heading to Saskatchewan in late May for a Spring bear hunt, the guide there says spoons work well for northerns there. Has anyone been fishing that area or in Northern Canada and have any recommendations on spoons to use? Spoon make, size and color recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks
  13. Thanks guys
  14. How much ice is down there currently?
  15. Nice buck
  16. Thanks Ron
  17. Took Friday afternoon off and slipped into the stand around 1:30 and started seeing deer right away. Around 5:15, this buck comes in and my shot was a bit low behind the shoulder and after bumping him I decided to let him rest overnight. Well, I had to go pick up my ‘new to me’ boat first thing Saturday morning and when I went back late morning to find my buck I found that the coyotes found him first....a bit bittersweet but I am glad I was able to find him. Saw three different shooters. Great weekend got a buck and a boat!
  18. Congrats on a great fish Anthony
