  3. Met at 7 and and ran across the lake and fished south. 2 riggers 1 with spoons and a cheater parked at 78 ft the other with a hammerhead / spin and glow and 2 wire dipsys setting 3 200 ft and 160. Fished till 10 and caught 4 and things died down. So went back across north of Sampson and fished south and picked up another small one right in front of Sampson. Went 5 for 7, biggest was around 9 lbs on the 160 wire dipsy with spinny and GLENM's home made fly . Only caught a small laker on a 3 1/2 inch orange spoon. All the rest were divers with spinny and GLENM's special. Weeds and debris was a headache, not many fleas like Cayuga last weekend. All fish were caught between 90-140 fow going 1.8-2.3 mph. Lots of fish marked 20-40 feet down big schools of bait down 60 feet. This boys first trout! Solid 9 lber. Took his vest off for pictures Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Cause of the water fleas you might want to go like 30 lbs this time of year Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Dipsy to dodger if going for lakers doesn't matter but going for silvers I'd lighten up to maybe 15lbs. It's all preference and what you like and what works. Sometimes they like a short lead from dodger to fly (faster action) sometimes they're lazy and like longer leads to (slower action) flies. I'd start with 18 inches ish Play around and see what works for you. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Lol idk but I've followed my line down on my fish finder. It depends what line your running. I have 4 dipsy rods my one kind has 30 lbs and my other has 40 lbs. the 40 lbs is almost 1-1 ratio and levels out at 100 ft my other 30 lbs is about 3-1 on a 3 setting. 18. Nice report Les! I went to Canada for bachelor party immediately following the trout derby in May. 2 weeks later got married and a week later went to Bora Bora for our honeymoon. I'm back in the game now and me and the wife are thinking about hitting the Red Cross tourney this weekend! Any idea of payouts? Is it just Cayuga lake? Thanks and good luck out there (not that you need it) Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Looking for a place to launch and fish tomorrow night for some eyes... Any tips would be helpful Thanks in advance Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. I would recommend the terminator clips. You use crimps that will more then likely break before a terminator clip. For what it's worth just my 2 cents Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
