I left the chamber around 730 on Saturday.
I took my nephews out for the day and went 8 for 10 all lakers biggest being around 6 lbs.
They had fun. We released 4 back to the water, they wanted to try lake trout never had it before.
2 of the fish had fin clips (andipose and a port side pectoral 😜)
Fished 70-90 fow saw little to no bait
Yes exactly Les. In college (fisheries) we learned that perch hatch rate is so great because of the sac the eggs are protected in that causes higher success rate. The sac floats around the water getting plenty of oxygen and protecting the eggs from predation. It also helps in fertilization of the eggs. Much more eggs get fertilized being in the sac versus being dispersed on the bottom like bass or salmonids.

Final fight why did you have to drive? They take reservations via phone and have a map on the Internet to show what slips are labelled.

The spillway northeast of the marina at the north end is loaded with them.
