Anybody know if the sodus point launch at the coast guard station is open yet? It was roped off still as of last week. I called wayne county parks and they said they would call me back with a date. Surprise! no response Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Using terminator spinnerbaits will help if you want the wire not to get bent up bad after 1 fish. The wire on them is titanium and holds its original shape even if wrapped around the hook it snaps back. Little more expensive than others but last forever Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Ok thanks. I'm trailering a lund fury so its easy to get to spots but only if the roads aren't blocked Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Are the boat launches open on port bay now? I tried earlier this summer and they were closed due to high water Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Public launch by arney's gets worse and worse every year. Its always the guys that come in and tie up to close for the next person to launch and not on the outside or other dock. Or the people that pull down and then take their sweet time to get rods out or sort through tackle and find lures. Drives me nuts. I fish by myself and always park on the outside of the dock whether coming in or going out. When coming in the boat gets driven on, winch attached and off to the parking lot I go to take care of the rest. Blows my mind sometimes to watch people. Anybody have any cannon mini troll downriggers for sale? Have to be the mini troll clamp on style not just any manual rigger as I would like to take them on an off and I don't have gunwales Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Tried jigging Lakers on Seneca after not fishing it for 7 years and came up empty. Couldn't seem to mark and schools of Lakers. Is there a specific depth range I didn't try? I was between 50 and 130fow Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Fished Seneca yesterday afternoon for a few hours and after failing on jigging for lake trout I tried for some of the big pumpkin seeds I remember catching last time I was there (7 years ago). I did manage 1 and saw some others spawning but didn't seem to see concentrations of them. Is there a specific depth? Stay on the shallow inside edge of the weeds or go out to 15ft or so and fish the deeper side? Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Anybody fished cross lake recently? Wanted to yesterday (7\16) but heard the water was real high and muddy Sent from my LGL64VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Can anyone recommend a good website to look for a good hanging bait bag or a specific bag that you have and like. Im looking for a bag that will hold maybe 20 large baits and have extra pockets on the exterior for bags of large swimbaits. I dont need a giant bag because i dont have that many musky baits and dont plan on getting many more. I normally use them for large pike and not musky anyway
I see lots of people are trolling right now but has anyone launched at union springs yet? Last time i was there was some time ago but the lake was still real low then
Terminator. They're a little pricey but i find them when they're on sale. The paint is indestructable, the wire is titanium and snaps back to place even if you wrap it around the hook and the skirts have a molded collar to them; not those chinsy rubber bands.
