Talked with Frank this morning and definitely going with the Lowrance unit. I have a Elite Ti7 at the wheel and a HDS been 2 touch at the rear. What I'm reading I can't hook the Elite to the Auto pilot?? If this is the case I'm going to order a Gen2 touch 9 for at the wheel and move my Elite to the bow (Terrova) Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Anyone suggest a place to install an auto pilot to my outboard (200 Verado hydraulic steering). Doesn't have to be fancy just basic functions. Hoping to get this done soon. We looking at the Lowrance autopilot for $1000 plus install costs? Not stressed over budget just need reliability. I currently have lowrance units which is why I'm leaning to that thought. Good and the Bad...... What went great? Well the tournament as always is awesome. The guys that fish this yr to yr, the Committee, and the venue all are great. I've been salmon fishing roughly 4 yrs and I don't think there is any better area to fish out of then The Bald Eagle/Sandy Creek/Oak orchard area. We have a great fishery with very talented fisherman surrounding us. Beyond the talent within the fleet is the commrodery. It truly makes for a fun experience every outing. What we did right was fish the right Waters for a win. Half the battle is finding the fish and that we did. We managed a full box but we simply couldn't put size in the box. We dropped a couple decent fish that would of helped , but even they were teens fish. Simply put we just never got dialed in. Took fish on meat, spoons, and flys of all colors...... We landed about middle of the pack, but was really shooting for 1/3. What I loved to see is the guys that have really taken me under their wing since I started all landed in the money. This tourney really gave the top guys a chance to prove why they stay at the stop. We did manage a $250 1st place steelhead prize and also a $250 Brown trout raffle off. After talking with allot of my friends after the tourney I always get alittle more info on how to better my fishing. The biggest mistake I believe we made was not grinding out an area, but simply always fishing through an area. I need to start working over pods of fish before simply fishing through them once and then searching for the next pod. Like always a great time with my son and we can't wait till the next tourney. Congrats to every one who placed and to those who simply had a great day on the water Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Question on depth
Jeremy Goodison replied to Bassin Bob's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Couple yrs ago ,Orleans county derby, the Lakers disappeared. Leaderboard was week so we tried targeting deep Lakers. We started in 120 off the Nose pushing North. 175-200 we started making heavy on the bottom and dropped the riggers. We literally caught King after King hugging the bottom in that range. The first one to hit we thought we a winning derby Laker only to surprise us with a King. After multiple King came into the boat we realized we have no clue where the Lakers went [emoji23]. Question on depth
Jeremy Goodison replied to Bassin Bob's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
All my riggers have 400'. Many times a yr we are pushing them to fish 150-200 down. Between cleaning kinks once in a while, plus blowback, the extra length is needed. Deepest fish we ever took was a King on rigger out 200. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
Question on depth

On a blank screen I set probe rigger at 52 degrees, center rigger 50 degrees and bottom rigger at 45 degrees. Then let the active fish tell you where they are. If the screen has fish I work off what I'm seeing Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
