  1. I did this last yr with my kids. My wife does nails so we raided her stash in the salon. $5 to the largest fish taken on one of their lures. If you ever need a bullet proof paint nail polish is it. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. If they scare off they are not meant to be😉. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I boat mine at Bryce Marine. They basically matched the prices I found. Obviously I got it prepped, they took care of warranty papers, and heaven forbid something went wrong I can drop it on their door step Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I usually run meat or Flasher Fly on a deep copper just for something different out there. Once rods fire then adjust for what they want. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. Here's how we did.... . Started in shipping lanes fished 530-8 am. We boated two nice steelhead and lost a Jumbo behind the boat. Seeing how we couldn't get a King we decided to pull lines and motor in. Set down in 300 and by 250 had couple young kings 8-12 lbs and couple more steelhead 6-8lbs. When we got to 150 there was a hard current line loaded with crap. Went through it and picked up some skippys. In 120 we flattened out and dipsy got crushed. Fought him from 550 all the way to 5 feet behind the boat and spin doctor swivel broke. Easy mid to upper twenty's. He was so exhausted he floated for thirty seconds then a wave of his tail and gone. Crossed back over the current and fished 150-160 for next couple hrs. Boated a 20lb and couple more teens. Boated roughly 10 and lost 4. Steady pickings everywhere. 10. I got the stainless spools, my our the TS model. I'm going to order a spare spool and put the braid on it. If i don't like it I'll have a back up. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I'm out now. We dropped lines in the shipping lanes. 530-8am lost jumbo steelhead and landed 8lb steelhead. Just got reset up in 350fow and motoring in. One 10 lb King and trolling south pretty blank screens and temps all over Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I'm be out in the morning. The King fishing has been so great this year I've done no steelhead fishing in the shipping lanes. With this flip it's a good time to go target that. If your thinking of the 400's ide just keep motoring out to the shipping lanes. My outings tend to be- if I fish inside its 100-200fow, if that's too warm then 220-350fow is where I'm smacking them. One I break 350 it's because I'm out of options and just picking away. With the water this cold you should be able to target them in tight or try the shipping lanes. I'm post how I post out there tomorrow afternoon. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. Run the clip on torpedoes weights. They cover every bit of the water column, of planer Mast or small in line boards. Way sensitive than dipsy and cover allot more width Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. I had same as rolmops....... I have two boats set up with fishhawk. I took the probe that was acting up and used it on the other boat. Worked perfect. Back and forth I tried between boats and probes. Ended up the wires it the back of the display were loose. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  23. I went out this morning Hoping too get set up before it got rough. No luck, 3-5 footers. Looks rough all weekend no matter where your out of Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. I use the cannon termination set up which has never failed me. But pricey when you change often. I'm going to start tying like stated above in one of the suggestions Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Thanx on the lam. When my cable broke the other day (dumping the probe) it was my fault in hindsight. The cable pigtailed above the termination. I unwind it and because I didn't see a kink I kept going. My fault. It just led me down the path of looking into braid. Although it was my first cable break I have had allot of issues with cable just not laying well in the drum. Maybe that's more normal than I think. At this point I'm going to switch over to 250lb Power pro on one rigger and see if I like it. Thanx for the replies Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
