  1. I agree with the speed issue. I just replaced my mag 10 stx with digitroll 10TS. I run them at half speed on the decent. SO much nicer than the mag STX Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Great video, thanx for sharing Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Pro kicker puts out almost 6 amp whether idle or full throttle. They are specifically designed for the application. Also when using a kicker on a full size boat your never at idle. I'm usually 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Before I had a probe I fished with four dipsy off my pontoon boat. Watching the bend in the dipsy gets you really close. Once a fish hit we looked at gps speed to duplicate Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. I have mercury Pro Kicker 9.9. mine is also on the swim platform but I reinforced the mount. I really like it. 25" shaft. In 4 footers it won't leave the water. My boat it pushes is 1988 2460 pilot house Trophy. I'll put a pic of it on. Bought it at Bryce Marine. Last summer Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I run 10 hr shift on 2-3 gallons , three riggers, and piles of electronics and batteries never dip. With the 5.0 omc after 5 hrs I would literally hear the motor bog down when you hit the rigger button Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I added mercury pro kicker to my 24' Trophy last season. My 5.0 OMC would run me $50-$100 a trip depending. Once I put the kicker Go through roughly $10-$20 . Two a trips a week from end of March to October and it plays for itself quick. Also saved me once when I blew my engine and once when my outdrive went. I put a panther steer on it and it's the best thing ever. Last fall when they worked on my engine I took multiple trips out literally use the kicker to go out, fish, and get back it. Looked silly but kept me fishing. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. "all my riggers have slack" Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I use the Amish snubbers. My mag 10stx were brutal on jerking. This happened on my new Digi Troll 10TS on medium speed. I'll take the blame for "missing" a week spot, but so my riggers have slack in the cable which makes me crazy. I was thinking of just changing the probe rigger to 250lb power pro to see if I like it hate it. I use 16 lb torpedoes. Luckily I had a spare probe in the boat but it sure sucked last night ordering another spare. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I've had allot of issues with cable on my cannons pigtailing near the release, getting slack in the cable, doesn't stack clean, etc. These were brand new factory spooled and One 1 I spooled. All then have same issue Finally yesterday list a probe, release, and torpedo when the cable snapped. Thinking of replacing the cable with 250lb power pro. Anyone run braid? Pros cons? Knots for fastening? Thanx for the help Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  15. Friend from Alabama came up to fish with me today. After a tough bite at the Shootout and forecast of stiff East wind I had 15 disclaimers on how the afternoon troll might be. Inside water is freezing cold so we motored out before setting gear. Within ten min we hooked up with a major and 21 lb came in the boat. We fished 4-8pm and had an awesome steady pick. 4 over 20lbs (23 biggest), three 15-18lbs, handful skippys, one steelhead. 240-260fow was most the action. We did catch in 200fow but the weeds were Un bearable.Riggers 40-75 and divers out 150-175. Spoons on divers and riggers. Tried FF and meat with no hits. Gold 42 second, Glow Frog, Carbon 14 were the studs. Overall we went 11/16 with alot fish coming unbuttoned. Lake was solid 3 and 4 footers which was annoying but we literally had the place to ourselves. Thanx again to the Staff of the Shootout and Big Fish Friday for putting on the Event . 16. Brian, Speaking of the shoot out you accept money? Looking forward to a good weekend Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. I know, Matt Bertola who I fish with use to slip his boat and it was slick. Last two years I've gone through insane boat issues. Rebuilt engine, fish twice, re wire boat, fish twice, then blow outdrive lol. Maybe next year now that she is running smooth. Two years ago Sandy Creek Shootout Blew engine. Last yr Sandy Creek Shootout my boat was down so we took matts. His died at launch so we literally drove home and rigged the 14 foot aluminum to fish. This yr if I have trouble I'm taking up golf LOL. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Only thing that makes me crazy. Well two things. People that park in the turning loop. I need every inch of turn at the launch with my boat and it makes me crazy when guys are setting up, un strapping, and park to fish down there. Second is the people fishing of the dock. Some are courteous and most think your in their way when you come in to the dock....... When the salmon run I stop using Sandy and go the river or Eagle Creek Marina which is located perfect between the Oak and Sandy. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. No. Just got off water. Steady picking 300-350 on steelhead. Handful of kings up to 14lbs. Lake is like glass Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. 250-350 great for steelhead(I'm out now) . Maybe start in 150 for kings if your out at sun up. My lines hit water by 530am and been doing great 530-7am. Then work out go there as the bit slows down. Been mostly spinny bite for us tonight Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. 4 trailer tires for sale. 5 lug pattern. 14" Load C 1760 lb rating. All the rims are galvanized and in good shape. I've been using twice a week all season. They don't leak air. So if your looking for a spare or just some tires to move the boat at end of season these will work. Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Think everyone has been struggling this week. This is good time to try the shipping lanes till it settles back in Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
