Copper Jon when we fish solo we only count to three rods on each side of the boat . It's between us and the fish on the deck, and they are pretty tight lipped 😉

Everyone has been doing good 80-150 from the people I talk to. This day I was best in 130ish. Saw other post in mid 200's also. For now the inside water is cold holding fish, so until that changes I set up in 80 at 5am then work out from there . Afternoon I been setingt up in 250 and working in from there.

Bazooka Joe fire drills is an understatement. I have some on video that I was going to post to Facebook but tangles got the best of me and F bomb starting flying. Even at 40 I can't have my mom hear my potty mouth lol.

This might set up a solid summer offshore steelhead bite once the lake settles down?

Quick report out of Sandy. 20+ fish today. Pile of mid teens, handful of steelhead and pile Lakers. Lost 4 bruisers after some good fights that will haunt my buddy I took out. Pretty much everything worked, spoons, meat, FF, dipsy, riggers. Caught kings in 90 fow on the bottom out to 250 fow down 70

Love the coffee cup holder trick. I bought a fighting belt which works great but for the little guys that's way better.

Fishhawk. Pull the trigger and catch fish. Biggest advantage you can buy

Well I powered the new wire on the downriggers. We went 2/3 with awesome results. One of the downriggers created some"looseness" when I stopped and restarted. I just had my son walk out about 300 feet and I used the emergency hand crank to re spool. That actually went really well. So to me if your comfortable( and two competent guys are doing the process) then power it on . However if your son is helping you use the hand crank. The retrieval is great and took no time at all.

So I made a comment about getting kids on the water fishing. My friend just got back from couple weeks of military training so I asked him and his son out. Over the years I witnessed how the children of our military sacrifice so much. So they took me up on the offer and Fortunately we put the smack down on some nice fish. Also created a handful of memories for the two of them. Tight lines

I never use cow bells....... I only go for Lakers if my kids are on the boat or a tournament. Flashes and flies work great for Lakers also. I think cow bells work better I just try hard to not catch them.

I put a probe on my main bait and following week put one on my 14 foot aluminum. Once you have one you can't go without

I catch 90% in 44-50 degrees water. If there feeding they come up into warmer temp for bait then lay low when not. I always keep my probe around 50 degrees then have other riggers 10 feet above and below. Once I get a hit then I go where the fish are. Speed I usually 2.4 -2.7. if your catches Lakers then your usually going to slow. It i got kids with me for Lakers I run 1.5 - 2. After the bite slows I always have something in 42-44 degrees (not on the bottom) looking for a bruiser
