  1. Went out tonight 5 till sunset. Best day in a week. Set up in 475fow after having a tough bite last couple outings inside of 250fow . Had two rods out and first fires with 1 oz sinker orange crush 150 back of the board. 9 lb Steelie with ton of attitude. Finally got everything out , two 1oz flat lines, three riggers from 15-45 feet, two dipsy flasher fly out 75 and 100 feet, and a 300 copper with spin doctor fly. Got to 530 fow and 15 feet rigger fires with mixed veggie. 5 lb Steelie. 545fow and dipsy fires pulling a blue barracuda flasher and blue fly. 15 lb laker. Looped back to first GPS mark and copper fires pulling a black spin doctor and purple fly. 7 lb Steelie. Headed south praying for a king and we hit 450fow the carbon 14 fires 35 down on rigger 60 back. Another nice Steelie. Starting slowly putting away Rods and son had one more spoon to try. Coyote ugly white ladder back with spinner. Sure enough it was swimming 5 min and off in the horizon Steelie breaks the water and then the release, another nice one about 7lbs. Ended up 9 for 9 with 8 Steelie and one laker, and prefect sunset to ride home in. We had 52 degree water on surface from 500fow plus a we approved 450 surface got to 62 degree. 35 feet down 42 degree. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Sandy creek has been tough last two days. This morning my buddy has been fishing out towards 560 fow. Handful of steelhead in 450-500 fow on split shot rigs. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. This was our screen when we starred at rods bent right over...... if no good reports tomorrow or wind doesn't shift I'll try 400-500 fow just to mix it up. And weak sunset last night to top it off Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Good friend of mine is out right now. Started inside with good screen in 100's and is As deep as 330 fow and only one fish and couple short strikes. Looks like another tough one. Other reports seem the same. Well I'll have to strategize tomorrow afternoons trip from the Willie Nelson concert tonight. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Got out at 430 tonight and shot out to 300fow to set up. Once set up I headed south troll. Pretty dead screen the whole way in. Took my first in 140 fow on dipsy flasher fly out 225 which was a 15lb laker. One other hit same set up and that was it. I ran two junk lines off planers (1oz sinker back 150) which did great Sunday but nothing, two dipsy which I had 75 -300 get with flasher fly, and three rigger with spoons i ran anywhere from 25-110 down. Changed colors fifteen times and couldn't get anything to hit. Temps out deep were 50 degrees surface 42 degrees down 50 feet . In 90 feet of water it was about 60 degrees on top and 42 degree 70 feet down. Pretty frustrating to say the least. Back out Sunday hopefully someone posts some success before then. $75 bucks in fuel for one laker gets kinda old lol. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Went out of sandy and headed east. We set up in 175 fow and trolled north east a deep as 275 fow. 230-245 fow seemed most productive however never really felt like we were on the fish. We took a nice rip at 235 fow on dipsy out 150 with pro troll barracuda and blue atomic fly. Junk line with 1 ounce sinker out 200 feet took couple fish. And 20-45 feet on riggers took fish. Ended up 6-8, 2 nice steelhead and four skippy kings. Niece had a hard time with the dipsy rod and he took advantage. My guess high teens king. Kinda slow but kids all got one. Great fathers day. 7. How deep you fishing. We fished 100-200 yesterday and had a tough day. Buddy just called me and said in 300 fow it's 50 degrees 60 feet down. That's where you'll find me and my kids after church. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Well that was a tough day to say least. Only boated the one could not find any temp breaks. Couple hits, insane wind, and good size waves. Better luck tomorrow Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Suspended laker on a junk line Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. 0-2 so far so far. Short strike no one home and lost a steelie on a junk line. Take your Dramamine today. Little rocky. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. I posted two weeks ago my trophy 2460 went from running great to wouldn't go over 3000 rpm and plane out, but ran pretty smooth. Took it to Dave Oschman in Kendall and can't thank everyone enough for that referral. Super nice guy, and was honest he was buried but met his time frame he told me. Ended up being distributor and points. So $116 to diagnose, clean and re gap, re timed motor, and fix my trim and on and on. Nice to meet an honest mechanic you can trust. So we're taking it back in in a couple weeks and he's changing it over to electronic ignition. Highly recommend him. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. Dave Oschman has the boat. He's hoping to get out in the water this week to diagnose and work on it. He's leaning towards carb rebuild. We shall see. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Got to launch at 515 am to head in buddies boat with my boy for a beautiful day of trolling. Got the boat in and battery was toast. So like any fisherman would do we packed up and headed to our honey hole. If you zoom in on the bottom pic there is a 12" bass that hit my spinner in the big guys mouth. Then the big guy took them both out. Salmon will have to wait till next weekend. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Know this Is An Old Post But Seeing If There Still Available. Thanx Let Me Know
  16. I just mounted mine couple weeks ago. I believe in the manual it says stay away from 80 frequency if possible. I mounted a starboard plate on opposite side and mounted to that to be safe. Worked perfectly. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Well put the muffs on the boat this morning in the driveway and she fired up immediately. Ran smooth, shifted smooth, and rev to 5000 rpm no sweat. So its definitely only under load that out won't accelerate? Any suggestions Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Its 1988 trophy 2460 Boat goes in to Eagle Marina in kendall next weekend. I looked at throttle cable and to me it seams to be pulling the throttle wide open. Distributor cap, writes and plug are new this yr. Plus looked fine. Had Alot people thinking exhaust blockage or fuel filter related. We shall see. Thanx for giving suggestions. I'll post the fix assuming we get it figured out. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. The Boat goes In And Out of Gear Smooth. No Grinding Or clunking. There Is Alot Of Play When Your In Gear As You PushTheThrottle down To Give It fuel
  20. Fishdaze can I get a number for Dave. Thanx Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Inaufishent Do You Think This Could Happen Over Night. I Went From Great One Day To Issue Next Time Out ?
  22. Bought boat month ago and everything runs idles and sound smooth. Had out out 5 out 6 times trolling for six hours at a time no issues. Last weekend I took it out and it wouldn't jump up on plane. When you hit it it would get to 3000 rpm and stay right there. I had five guys in the boat so I assumed I was just really "heavy". So I picked up new prop to help out. Went out this morning excited for new prop and same issue definitely not "heavy". So idles great, sounds smooth, no noises out of the ordinary but when you hit it it sounds great to 3000 rpm and then just stays there. Any one else have this experience our any thoughts. 23. Anyone recommend honest mechanic who's not buried? Thinking of calling pugsley in Ontario just hate to make the drive from spencerport. Its a 1988 OMC 5.0 with a cobra outdrive. Thanx for help Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Went out of sandy this morning. Rods hit the water 6:30 am 80 fow in front of pump house heading northwest. By 100fow took our first laker 80 down on rigger. Within next hr we boated couple more lakers and the skippy king around 120 fow all spoons. 140 fow was the hottest four us. 45 degrees 90 feet down and 80 and 90 foot rigger caught most fish. Had a triple on the 80 foot 90 foot rigger with majors on them and my junk line had a steelie. Landed one king lost the other two. My junk line was a one once sinker with spoon on planer board back 120 feet. Wind was making hard to get lines out so I threw that out there to get More lines in the water. Ended up taking 3 shots on it just couldn't keep them on. By about 1030 wind really picked up and we couldn't buy a fish. Screen went blank till 1230 and wrapped it up. Put 5 in box let a bunch lakers go. All in all great day out. Heading in boat wouldn't go over 3000 rpm? Off to shop she goes hopefully not down to long. Ran smooth just wouldn't rev up to get on plane. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I'm no pro but I troll twice a week from last week off march till October. I have four set up with twili tips and have had one break in two yrs. Twenty min later it was fixed and off you go. If I had all the equipment I need it Would be on my upgrade list, but other wise the fish don't mind the cheap set up. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Lake Ontario United mobile app
