No chance of something bad happening there in the dark using your phone at the rail. Sent from my SM-A536U using Tapatalk

I had issues with mine still under warranty, they sent me a new probe but I wasn't going to use it until Sunday, the owner gave me his personal cel # and told me to call him once I was on the water to check a few settings, because of that kind of service they will always have my business. I always tell people I have a nice boat because I fix things for a living that aren't supposed to break. Unfortunately that part of especially electronics is just a part of life. Advice for FF and Xi5
whycanteye replied to Shakemsam's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
You can use the ducer for your garmin, just need the connector for it, they sell it as an accessory for the xi5. You probably won't see Dr balls just because of its location but it will work. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk -

Some guys do a sushi rig and wire small strips of herring to the shank of the hook. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk -

First week of august west end
whycanteye replied to jmyers8's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
All depends on how the lake sets up, it's been good at 100 or 500, usually we fish in the 350 range then. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk -

I bought a bunch of track and cannon rod holders from them, 2 different purchases, everything went great, received them very fast, I would buy from them again. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk -
If your using braid under the wire are you using mono under that to keep it from spinning on the spool? If not how are you keeping the wire & or braid from slipping on the spool? Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk

info Captains Course
whycanteye replied to Reel Chaos's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
I thought it was great, covered what you needed to know several times, with my schedule it was the perfect way for me to get my license without taking classes that would have resulted in spending weekends away, renting a hotel and in my case having to use vacation time off work. Once I was done with the course, I knew which areas I was weak in so I just kept taking the practice tests over and over until I knew it forward and backwards did very well on the actual test. I would reccomend it. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk -
I contacted them directly and they did sent me a couple of the little kits that come with the divers but they randomly showed up in the mail about 5-6months later. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk

I have had better luck and less tangles caused by the rubber band if I 1/2 hitch it to my rigger cable and then snap it to my main line with the slider snap. Over the years I have had the bands still attached to my main line and the slider not slide down when you have a fish on the main line then you're trying to net a fish with too much line out and a tangle at the tip of the rod. We fished Olcott this weekend, Friday was horrible, Saturday was better. I just set the timer on my phone and every 20 min I'd pull my rigger rods and clean them. I would have an extra rod ready to go, send it down and clean the fleas on the other and do it all over again! Exhausting!! They cost us 3 matures at the boat with 20' of line left out without being able to reel anymore. Waiting for a couple spools of sea flea to be delivered this week. Any more I only use blacks on my flasher/fly or meat rigs, everything else I've been running Chamberlain's. But with that said, I have never had one strip, I guess good thing they're only $10. Chamberlain's are twice that. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk

Penn Linecounter Reels - Likes/Dislikes/Models
whycanteye replied to bigwalleye's topic in Tackle and Techniques
I have been fishing the warfare models they have 3 seasons on them now (average 60 trips a year), I have 16 of them I just last trip out had an issue with 1 of them, something with the clicker, I haven't taken it apart yet to see what happened, reel still works just clicker won't engage. I don't have any complaints, the drags seem smooth and they have held up for me. I have had all the other brands you mentor and by this point in time with any of the others I would definitely Have had more than 1 issue. Sent from my SM-A205U using Tapatalk -
