Still hoping to find someone in rochester area to let me hook up to their humminbird transducer for a minute..that will let me know if my transducer temp sensor is bad or the temp on my fish finder itself is bad.
I have a 999hd si Hummingbird. My temp sensor is not working so I was told by customer service to plug it in to someone else's unit to see if its the unit itself or the transducer thats bad. Any model in the 8 or 9 series should work for a quick test..I just don't know anyone that has 1. I live in Hilton and if anyone around the area has a humminbird that I can plug my unit into for a minute it would be much appreciated.
We got 6 walleyes , 1 Coho, 2 pickerel and I have know idea(alot) of smallmouth. All walleyes were males spewing milt all over the place. All fish were large, fat and healthy, smallmouth were thick with 1 over six and 1 pushing 7 plus !
Your the man 3 mile ! I know I posted this in the wrong forum, a lot of lookers, no posters...hopefully the fishing will be better than that this weekend ! LOL. Thanks for the info, hope you slam them again this year !!
Heading up to Chaumont for the weekend looking for walleyes. Never fished it before, figure I'll be fishing shallow with planers dragging worm harness and stickbaits. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as I know it's early and the water is still very cold. Thanks, anyone else going there?
I have a pair of these ..going to try them soon since they are the only ones I have. Anybody ever use these? Do you have to fill the bottom with water? Any tips appreciated.
Does anyone use braided downrigger line(scotty 175lb) on their manual riggers. I'm buying a pair of new Cannon unitroll STX riggers and thinking of spooling them with Braided..good idea or not ? Should I be worried about fleas in summer ? Pros and cons please. Also should I buy weight snubbers ? Thanks !
Why would anyone buy the Digitroll 5's then...they can not be controlled with a transducer connected to do bottom track or jig, only the digitroll 10 can do that, from what I understand, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Kayaker..you are right. I was talking with a Sporting goods retailer in Canada over the weekend and he told me my Humminbird was too new , the last model they put the cannonlink software in was the "8" series. They will no longer be using the software...my search is over. Thanks for your help guys.
