Even with bow season coming. Cant wait to start on the yotes too. Got a brand new .204 waiting to squeeze it off!

Honeoye is always a good spot. Always do well in the ice season for them and late spring too.

Crappies are my favorite fish to catch other than bass. I dont see much difference in taste or texture. I have one buddy who says they are mushy. Duno, all in the pallet I guess. Cant wait for them to start up! Way more fun than perch IMHO. Some good points about personal limits on fish. Just think the average person fish a handful of weekends and keep whatever small or large. Then the rest of us diehards that set limits on size or quantity. More of a conservation approach. Hope there is more of the latter!

Hope this isnt a new trend. Some guys i know have been fishing seneca, Canandaigua, and say it hasnt been the same in last couple years as before then. Maybe too many perch have been taken as of recent. Ive seen guys keep buckets full of 6-9" which could be hurting population. Duno but runs have been bad last 2 years. Maybe im wrong hope so

Took slimy hooks opinion on cranberry being more productive than long pond. Fished long pond for an hour from sun up. 2 dinks right away. Nada for next 45 min. Moved to cranberry and put 20, 9-11'ers in a bucket by 130. A steady bite but lots of dinks. Only gona get better I hope!

Wasn't insinuating that any of that was directed at myself. Just making an observation and an opinion. Tight lines!

Fished 22fow. Morning bite was best. Couple dozen keepers. Few gills and crappie mixed in too. Ice was 3.5-4" looks like my last trip there with next weeks weather

I hope the ice builds more than 2" out in the deeper water by the weekend. Not much for the gills. Only spots I have are out in the bowl for other species. Here's hoping for good ice soon!

Never use live bait. Caught several the first time out. Only a handful the second. As far as bay sucking in sept. Have had plenty of luck late and into early october. Can find schooling fish and hammer em when you do. Both smallies and largemouth

Fished there twice this year. Due to lack of established weeds I fished deep water. Found a lot of largemouths in 15-20 fow

Ice is gone on both. Plenty of boats at south end of honeye. I do expect an answer as it is a general question not a location depth lure choice etc. PMs are excepted.
