  1. Do use the willis knot on my leadcores to mono. Just cant see a way of threading the braid into leadcore Was hoping someone had a special trick to do it.
  2. I don't envy you guys that have to paint bottoms. One pita of a job. One of the few advantages of trailering.
  3. DJ thanks. That what I thought. Was hoping you had a trick up the old sleeve for this one.
  4. Tying a willis knot with braid, DJ. I didn't think you could do it regarding the limpness of braid vs. mono.
  5. Good Price. Use the money u saved and invest in better swivels than what they come with.
  6. Depending on what type of release you are running you may want to consider using mono between your "shots". Sometimes the braid can be a pain to keep in the release. Tying willis knot with braid can test your patience at times as well! Didn't think that was possible.. Can you give more info on how you do that..
  7. Topic started of about down temp and speed units but morphed into talking about cannon balls.. Time to take the ADD meds.!!! LOL..
  8. Fortunately they got out alive, sounds like they were within a minute of complete trajedy. Incidents like this also severly put rescuers at high risk.
  9. I got the Bradley digital. Works great. Reviews abound about element burning out with little use but I've had mine for two years now and no problems. Just need to keep a good supply of pucks on hand.
  10. Yeah glasswork does not like the cold. Just be patient and everything will work out. Good luck with project
  11. Dont overlook 16# torpedos blowback is minimal with them. We use no others since I got them.
  12. It totally failed and rigger was going over and caught it be a rod holder. Another of the bases had a crack at the pin like you experienced. Cannon was good and offered to replace them on all four of my riggers. I had no confidence in them so I upgraded to the all metal pedestal swivels and just paid the difference.
  13. Dan you can drop them down manually if you are worried about tangles. Speed is nice on them and I use 16 # torpedo's. Pulley issues were rectified. Only problem I had were the swivel bases that came with them. Nearly lost a rigger, but cannon made good on them.
  14. One needs to keep in mind that coyotes are more or less an invasive species to most of this country. There native range is the southwest part if US. They filled vacumn left by absence of wolves. Where wolves have been re introduced there numbers are on a big decline.
  15. I'm with Les on this one. If you can leave it with a guy it would be a lot cheaper and better fix than you can do yourself. The dont have travel or the neccesity of completing asap like a bread and butter job.
  16. Todd, I'm out on this deal. Thank you for your consideration. Good luck with your sale or modification which ever you decide.
  17. good to know Rich. Will have to put a nice coating of silicone over leak points.. Thanks for info.
  18. I'll take your word on being more powerful. You lost me with the leak? These are electric motors, no ?
  19. No experience with Cisco's. I have Big John's and they pull my double keeled otters in with out any problems also. Sounds like your still at square one..Good Luck with your decision.
  20. I run the sub troll also and have never had any problems with it to make me wanna run out and change to something else. Do have a spare probe for it. Thinking maybe I should pick up a complete system now that everyone is clearing them out. Do like the smart troll system but not the price especially since there is no monitor with the system.
