    You also sand the surface of the gel coat to smooth it down a bit to remove any high spots.

    The cannon stx's handle 20# weights and are high speed. There swivel bases are garbage as I almost lost a rigger overboard. Luckily I was right next to it and me reflexes fast enough to grab hold of rod holder. Cannon did offer to replace at no charge but my confidence was gone in those lexan swivels. Upgraded to the all metal pedestal bases which I only had to pay difference in price. Good units otherwise. I use 16# torpedos now for three years on them.

    I hear you there Chas, when it comes to moving a boat that size. Good thing is that gas prices have dropped.

    With out knowing for sure your bearings heading out, that is hard to say whether you went over border or not. As someone stated it shows as a dotted line on GPS if you have one. You were probably damn close if you didnt cross over. If you have a smart phone get the navionics map app and it will show you exactly where you are on the lake.

    Same species but a different color phase. They say they dont interbreed though. Dont know if thats true.
