    I would install pulleys on the front corners of your hardtop with the reels mounted to the rear. This will keep boards running more even with your transom. You have plenty of height to run those boards a good distance off the sides. You will have to install ball retriever or rope will ring on tow line to clip on release. I run Big Jon manual reels with 200# power pro braid so the releases slide down tow line easily. Switching over to electrics as soon as boat wrap comes off this spring. Good luck.     Just do your research on them and what's appropriate for your size and type of vessel. I went with a raymarine sport pilot for my 24' grady. Installed system my self and it works great even down to 1.7 mph. Its not interfaced with my Elite 5 because that was bought when they first came out and cant be connected like the later models.     X2 with silver's comment. Just not having to keep boat running straight leaves much more time to working the rods. Also keeps hard feelings at bay with any less experienced drivers. Makes for a much more relaxing day on the lake which is what I strive for. Work is hard enough. Don't care if I catch a fish but I love when I do. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    What I don't understand , if this is a forum about sharing ideas and techniques why do I keep hearing the need to buy a ticket to a trade show to learn about all these techniques. What gives?     I' m with hobbit. Love the 44's until they do the dive behind the boat. Wont ever use them again. Put the extra keel on the otters with the scotty releases and that's what I use now. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    Ethanol free gas is better for all engines!!! Better to avoid it if you can.

    Looked that pic over hard again after all the posts. It very well might be spawned out but its head is large in comparison to the rest of its body even with the lower jaw extended as it is in the pic. I believe it has a malnurishment issue. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
