    In addition to all the great advice you got so far , just the purchase price of the boat will be your cheapest expense. Remember boat= break out another thousand.     Why not just get a credit card with low interest and pay for it that way. If your credit rating is what you say it shouldn't be a problem. Don't make minimum payments or it will take you 30 years to pay for it and you would pay more in interest than the boat itself. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    should be able to crimp it down tight enough. Give a few good tugs to make sure they not slipping.

    I use a #3 spro coastlock snap with a crimp sleeve for the wire.

    Sea tow doesn't operate on Lake O But your are right that you do have to rely to a large extent on fellow boaters. Unfortunately you do hear how the majority wont help out Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    If your only running two riggers I would just leave it like they are presently. You shouldnt have issues with them crossing or getting into your props. Seeing the latest pic I dont see why you need to change anything Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

    Yeah That is unfortunate how some of our fellow boaters act when some one is broken down on the water. Discovered this first hand this year when I broke down on the Jersey shore this year. Boat Us was quick to respond but other boaters wouldn't even get out of way on the tow in.. Operator said its very common.

    Buy two new rods to replace the two butts that are defective and send back defective butts with the new tips and get your money back.. I know it a pain in the ass at this point but I don't see any other work around given you changed the tips already. Good Luck.

    Finch they are cool when a king hits. They pull them done like it was just a little bobber.. The only problems i have with them is when they dive, will have to try some of the suggestions listed.
