  1. Totally agree. Sometimes we get brief east winds here in the west end when the winds changing but any decent length of time with an east blow usually brings fronts in causing the pressure change. We've done well pre east wind front but fishing during them makes for a slow bite. A lengthy NE wind usually brings colder water which is because the east end is deeper than the west.
  2. X2 wouldn't trade mine for nothing
  3. If you loosen them off too much the washer with the 2 holes in it slides out off the axle and prevents the knob from tightening up all the way
  4. I needed some therepy after being out saturday they were just stupid out there! We tried the thermacell and it just didn't cut it. Couldn't even talk without inhaling a pile of em
  5. We did well out by weller everything went boards pulling deep diving sticks, riggers, lead, 100 copper and dipseys back short all caught fish. No monsters but spunky teens...30-60fow
  6. Oh the things I would do to such a person if I witnessed them doing that.....people you'd love to just take out and beat the piss outta them and leave them in the ditch
  7. The water in tight was holding a lot of fish in the am, east of Jordan was hot Td also
  8. Many fish to be had today for us colour was key...one rod caught most our fish
  9. Fish 8-15 fow sticks and jointed raps...watch your temps find the warmer pockets...water temps dropped this week so that will be critical
  10. Your best bet is to stay on the QEW and fish between grimsby and port weller...the west end doesn't heat up till June/July
  11. West of Jordan in the planer board dodging championship the bite was decent till about 10 in 12-18fow j-ll and ripplin Redfins off the boards. We went 3/5, a brown a king and a ho......fish are very scattered right now with no bait marked.
  12. Nice boat, good luck on the sale...your not done fishin are you? New boat??
  13. Yes that speed is good, jointed raps are good rigt now too
  14. Mix up a batch of auto body bondo with some hardener in it, then apply it with a putty knife...quick! Only fill the scratch so with access bondo around the scratch cause the stuff is brutal to sand down. Prime it then paint it
  15. Afternoon is usually best when the shoreline warms up causing the temps to rise.
  16. I agree with you about getting more lines out, with the depth you'll be fishing on the spring you won't be getting your dipsey lines " out and a way from the boat" because you won't be able to get much line out. So like everyone has said run boards. I run a 6 rod spread with 2 boards, 2 flatlines long down the shoot and 2 short line out and down on the riggers
  17. Nope. 50, forans, and Jordan still iced in at the launch
  18. It's nice I've got it on one ove my riggers, I believe it's 250lb, I find its got more blow back than the wire but it's hard to tell. When the fleas get thick its a pain tho cause they can latch onto the strands in the braid cause it's so thick. A plus is no annoying humming sound.
  19. Docks are in at port dalhousie, canal is wide open to access the lake. Just been too windy to get out.
  20. And when you come home with more stuff it's always "on sale" haha
  21. Manufacturers send their spoons out tested and tuned. i don't mess with them out of the package, I don't think they'd ship their spoons out to people expecting to catch something with them only to find out they need to add something to it so it produces...idk just my opinion.
  22. Those guns have interchangeable barrels for different calibre I believe...?
  23. What a beautiful night tonight deer are moving no shooters yet!
  24. The second rut has kicked in here 2 bucks chasin does little too far for the mossberg at 95yrds with open sights.....back at it in the am last day of gun here in Niagara, congrats on the buck legacy!
