Got out yesterday afternoon, saw 1 buck at 5:15 just caught a glimpse don't believe it was a shooter.
Kind of bummed the 10 pt from this property I had an early picture of busted a tine on his left side...good thing is gotta be something bigger that he was fighting with...also what are the odds of another mutant buck with a messed up right antler on a completely different property?
"I had a tiny buck walk up with in two ft.of me,it was about 2.5ft. tall and had the same horn deformity. I think it was 6or8 months old or less. "
Not possible that age would be a button buck,he had to be 1 1/2 yrs old
He's big enough and mature enough for me...if he makes it another yr that's fine but I'm fairly certain he's on the neighbors hit list this year
Last year we both gave him a pass
Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
I'm stoked now....the piebald I've watched and passed the previous 2 yrs is alive and looking good! No one has seen him since opening day if last yrs gun opening day.
Not the best pictures as he slipped out of the pines at 1:39 am and corner of frame but I can see the tell tale markings on his ass going down his hip
It's him!
Last years pics
I got ya Rob...I'm with Matt and I know the big ones aren't prowling yet but you know the deal at any given moment one can show up even if it's not prime time
Went back thru and looked wow Great buck!!!
Matt and others big congrats....I guess just because I've not been hunting and holding back doesn't mean everyone else was too
I've been holding back still to early IMO for the big guys, went out Monday evening and passed on a 2 1/2 yr old 7 pt
May head out this afternoon as I have a good wind and want to check my cam cards anyway
This is the best one I have a picture of so far
