  8. I live on Seneca been shooting birds here...just wanna try somewhere different
  9. X2 wait for a windy day and buy a decent respirator for pouringlead .. when I powder painted I bought a small oven $30 and got the jigs hot and dipped them in the powder.. I was doing smaller jigs and put them in the oven to cure.. maybe you can do the same by pouring the powder in a bin and dunking your hot jig in quick shake and let hang in the oven until their nice and glossy then take out and let them harden..
  10. Awesome! I'm jealous of the canvas backs!! I missed one on Seneca a couple years ago
  11. Know of anywhere that's a good public spot to set up?
  12. Any launchs open by sodus? Never been up there this time of year
  13. It's hard to say what's going on with the lake.. being raised at a marina on Seneca and hearing what the older generation saying how good the fishing use to be and watching them come back getting skunked now a days is crazy.. from what my dad said back before the zebras you couldn't see bottom off the dock in 3ft of water.. which i belived helped the fishing.. now with the zebras and crystal clear water it gives the bait a chance to see predators way in the distance (I could see bottom in 30-40ft perch fishing last year), like Nick said theirs fish to be caught but finding them takes majority of the time and bait presentation is tuff!
  14. Last time I heard of a fisher it was about 5 years ago it was trapped in a swamp by Geneva then when that rumor was going around a ontario county sheriff told me about a lady hitting one with her car about 2 miles away from the swamp.. On the state land their was a lot of turkey and rabbit tracks in the same area as the fishers tracks and I kicked up a handful of grouse so their plenty of food!
  15. Awesome thanks! I'm gonna throw a trail camera up there to try to get some pictures!
  16. That was my thought at first bob cat or lynx but they have nub tails.. the long tail in the snow was what threw me off
  17. I've never seen tracks like this or a tail this long in the snow cat or fisher?... I was in state land this morning hunting deer.. way off the main trail probably 1/2-3/4 of a mile in the woods I came across these.. the tracks were approximately 3 1/2-4 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide.. my biggest question was the long tail when it laid down, the within 20ft their was 3-4 body prints in the snow that reminded me of ways a house cat hunts it did this behind trees and small branches.. the strides were about 2-3ft apart. I sent it to my buddy in dec and he said most likely a fisher. What are your thoughts?
  18. Walked around My friends land yesterday in potter tracking deer time was running out so I called it quits.. walking back up to the truck and came acrossed bear tracks... looked like maybe 150-200lbs..
