Anyone in the buffalo area looking to take the class there is one on Thursday 8/13 from 6-11pm at Hamburg rod and gun. I just got off the phone with the instructor to sign up and he said to spread the word because the class is a little light

. Found a nice pile of fleas down deep off Wilson in 350'. Hooked 2 screamers in first hour-90' on rigger. Rod eye jammed up During both fights- lost both when they ran at us while eye was jammed. My bad was still running 20#. Quit after a hour- spooling on 30# now

Any fleas out there yet? I'm off a few days this week and will be trolling Wilson/Olcott. Wondering if I need to get the 30# spliced in or not. Been picking on the Walleye most of June- Can't wait to hear a screaming drag again. Thanks for the report

I fished 440-470' of water off Wilson same day. We did 3 average steelhead a 2 1/2yr old king and a laker- sliders and braid dipsey 3 set- 130 did most. Forgot new battery for sub troll -no speed or down temp today- won't do that again!!

Not the crazy numbers or size we have seen in past years for the Southtowns, for us anyway, but we did pretty decent filling the freezer. Friend got into some better size fish on Sunday in 60-70' . Purple Bayrats- pink Renosky. Very few fish on meat. Good luck-

Same program- doesn't get much simpler. We have been running rapala in blue/silver and black/silver. Be warned its a busy highway out there the last few nights- running any kind of board is a disaster waiting to happen- it's TIGHT quarters out there- get out there now before the bite ends. Good luck

Wire dipsey's - 2 set- 125 and 160 back. 2 riggers 75' and 58 ' with sliders- lead length didn't seem to matter much- took a bunch of kings on sliders. All fish on spoons- warrior-black pearl UV , dream weaver - thriller, stinger- frog hard to beat for us. One more day off then back to work-

Ditto on the crushfest! We have boated 180 + fish in 4 1/2 days. We landed 2 lakers on one rod 2 days in a row-they are stacked like cord wood. Plenty of kings around Wilson but have not caught one over 20#. The amount of lamprey marks on the kings and lakers is staggering. Cdq - I think we both caught the same laker- couple other pics too- good luck to all for the rest of the tournament

Hardest part about the wire diver set up is getting your drag correct- I started with wire last year and it took me a bit to get it right- I used a rubber band later in the year hooked to the wire and the handle and loosed up my drags and my hookups were perfect- I donated many lures to the fish gods learning-
