  1. Yeah, you got that right! Taking a 0 on the first tourney really put a stick in the eye! Marlene got a gear change and shes pretty throttle responsive. Not a speed boat by any means, but really good low end throttle. glad we changed the gear ratio!
  2. Lower unit fixed. Thanks to Leon labar who had a rebuilt Alpha 1. Just took Marlene out for a successful shakedown. Thanks to Leon and big thank you to LOU for providing an excellent fisherman's resource!
  3. Thank you Mike! Blind Squirrel Sportfishing designed that lure and I had a few left over from running them. They are a great lure! I'm glad you came down and picked them when you did! Only had about 4-5 left. Nice job and nice report, for sure! Got some lures coming soon for you to keep that up! Nice job Mike! Mike fished from a 15 ft boat today, and as you can see, it was rough. Way to go Mike! The lure was a Copper Back Rattler, from Great Lakes Lures. With an orange stripe down it. Congrats to Mike on the win!
  4. Way to go! Your Raymarine equipment got a workout today. Nice limit of fish and your clients look pretty pleased. Nice to see some GLL fish in there as well. Nice report Capt's Steve and Rich.
  5. Les, I have a few left from the ones I made. I can send you a couple. Were running very low on copper and brass blanks. I priced some rolls, but MAN are they expensive! I'm looking for some .015-.040 copper and brass, if you or anyone else knows a source. Roofing companies sometimes have those metals and in that thickness, but the .040 is hard to come by. I will keep a couple out for you Les. I should have known you'd like the orange! I have a couple rattlers and a couple .040 singles with the orange stripe on them I will keep for you. Blk/Silver I can run a bunch, I was going to do some for our boat as well, and add a few different tape options also. I just got some pics from BSSF and Blk/Silver KWC is banging the browns this am!
  6. Thanks Pap and John! They are in the water now! Theresa and I drove them to Rochester last night. Capt Steve met us in Victory (how fitting!) and picked them up.
  7. Can't wait to hear how the day goes! Looking forward to the report. I'm about an hr behind today, but it was worth the effort to get them to you last night. Good luck and tight lines! Talk with you guys soon.
  8. So I just sent almost 10 dzn lures to "Blind Squirrel Sportfishing" as they are going to premier our newest lure, the N35. I felt a little apprehensive sending them off. I put a lot of time and effort into those lures, as I do all, It was hard to see the new N35 go to "battle". They will also be doing field testing and developing new patterns as well as reporting on things like durability, quality control, and relative effectiveness. For the first time in our company history we now have a magnum, single lure that is very speed tolerant and has great potential for sport fishing and the great lakes. Capt Steve and Capt Rich will be the first to put the N35 through the paces and see where it's potential lies. Good luck Fired Up and Blind Squirrel Sportfishing in your 2015 season from Great Lakes Lure Co. Looking forward to this partnership! Here are some pics of the lures for round one... 9. I think I've already got one. Nick found me one in Elmira. I checked it out yesterday. But thanks.
  10. We're in. Thanks Nick for the lower unit connection! Much appreciated.
  11. Text sometimes makes things seem other than what their intended. I believe he was referring to the brown he weighed in that is now largest brown for the year, and that it was on a BBKWR from Great Lakes Lure co. Also, That his old "stomping ground" was Keuka. I sure hope the Marlene is fixed by then! Thanks to Nick Overacker and LOU, I believe I might have found a lower unit! See you all on Keuka, and good luck! Joe and Nick, Mike and company, and John were especially dialed in on Seneca. For all the hrs I spent at the docks, Severne and Watkins, all I heard was how poor the fishing was. Didn't look like a bad day when they weighed in! Tight lines!
  12. Steve, You can tell Capt Rich that I made the lures he really wanted. I dropped everything this am and banged them out for him. No pics, of course, but there curing now. Gonna be pushing it, but fishing them fri would be ok. Thanks for the order and all your help with promoting Great Lakes Lures co. Good luck to you both! Hope you have a great year! I learned more from you both in 2hrs than Iv'e Learned in the last 2 yrs. You fella's got it figured out and have a great working relationship. Now let's go fishing!
  13. Way to go Joe! Nice job and congratulations on your first place finish!
  14. Yeah, we were at the launch when he arrived. He didn't get out till 730. Beautiful fish though. Just wasn't going to happen for us. Kevin worked his butt off to get the steering replaced, then the boat wouldn't run. It was purring like a kitten the day before. Keuka next, hopefully the luck changes over here as far as boats are concerned! Nice job Mike, John and Joe and all the others who weighed in. All I heard at the launch was how bad the fishing was, and then the Finger Lakes Trollers have a great weigh in. Great bunch of good fisherman in our club! Congratulations!
  15. Congratulations John with lunker, and largest lls to Josh Reeser, and Joe O'brien for largest Brown. Both on Great Lakes Lures! Thank you!
