We went out last night and noticed that the flock of seagulls that were following the huge alewife balls in the bay were gone! Went up to the north part of the bay were the alewives were boiling in our prop wash and nothing! Which explained why we only got one drum! So I think smacking them like we have been is over! We'll stick get a few but ten every trip is done for the year I'm thinking, could be wrong though. Gonna start concentrating on the walleyes and if I get a drum in the mix that's fine with me. Haha, that does suck if you go hours with out catching any thing. I wish that tourney was bigger! Back in the early 2000's when the club was bigger there were 20 boats in the pike and walleye tourneys! Now they're lucky for ten. Get your FREAK on!!

i've caught some eye trolling in the spring flatline trolling but not always consistent. hopefully this year i can get some pig eyes and tigers/pike!!
