  5. X2 The Big Buddy heater is great (but the size has limits). Mine easily heats a 20 x 18 foot room, then maintain the heat between the two settings (just press down on the knob and turn it half way to the next setting. I also take the grate off and hook it through the handle and place a heat powered fan on the grate. WITH THE GRATE OFF MAKE SURE NOT TO PLACE ON A SURFACE THAT CAN MELT OR IGNIGHT (put foil on the floor or elevate on a table and place at the edge of the table). By removing the grate, you are moving the heat shield. See the picture. In the first house my wife and I purchased, we used a vent-free gas log set as our main source of heat (heated 1500 square feet. We took out the wood stove because it would get up to 80 degrees in the living room and it created a mess with the wood. No issues with air quality and the humidity level only increase 1percent after one week (compared with electric heat after one week). My father used a vent-free gas log set as his main source of heat and that is what sold me on getting one for my home.

  7. I cleaned the boat and it will be winterized, wrapped and stored for the winter by the end of next week. It is now located in the Port Bay area.
  8. I pulled the boat for the year. It is at my house in Clifton Springs if anyone wants to take a look before I winterize and wrap it.

  10. $19, 500 if interested. I am taking it out of the water either this weekend or next.
  11. I am not at Midlakes, that would make too much sense for me. I am coaching with a guy I coached in college and with the son of a coach I used to coach against in this area. I missed it.

Spring 2024, I did install a new SEI driveshaft unit on it. I have it winterized and wrapped every winter. All you need to do is add the rods and tackle...and a net. I have owned this boat for five years. When I purchased the boat in July 2019 the motor had 481 hours on it. I do not know the hours now. For the previous four years, l have fished 20 to 22 times each year. I only used the boat/main motor to get out and back for fishing out of Sodus Point. The reasons I am selling: I got back into coaching football (this is the main reason - I am coaching year number 31) my brother has a boat and is building on Seneca Lake now my wife can't go out on the boat due to back issues/surgery it is hard to find a reliable person to fish with I am asking $17,500 The boat is docked at LeRoy Island in Sodus Bay. If interested, PM me. picture before the kicker was mounted
  13. Great price for the extendable net! Too far for me to travel. Someone will get a great deal.
  14. Took and old friend out. His knees are shot (one has been replaced), so the chop was a challenge for his balance at times. We managed to go 4 for 5. An 18 pounder, 16 pounder , and two 21 inchers. We kept one small and the 18 pounder. The 16 pounder is a guess; he was still green next to the boat and I managed to get something like a bogo grip on him before popping the hook and made sure the fish was fully ready to go...took off straight down. Lines in at 5:45 and fished until 10:15. We started in 120' and got the small one in about 150' (down 70') on a geezer pattern. Took the big one around 210 fow down 80' on a NBK. Turned back at 225 fow and took another small one on a silver/carbon 14 in about 180 fow down 70', then fished a bit with nothing turned back out and then in again; then had a double in about 120 fow down 75' (blue hulk). Tangled the rigger line in one of the port side dipseys as the outside dipsey was hit (fish took about 50' but I never got to the rod because we were getting the rigger line untangled from the other dipsey) [regular dipsy out 175 with froggy glow]. Not bad considering it was my friends first time out trolling.
  15. It moves the post to the top of the page. It moves the post to be listed as "more recent", and alerts people that the item(s) is(are) still available for sale. Without the "newer" TTT post, the post gets "lost" lower in the other posts (and on the page appears further down [or not on page 1]).

  23. My daughter and I went; started at 5:40 out in 110 FOW. Before I got the second line set, we had a shaker. I finally got all six lines in by myself (my daughter only reels them in). We had a knock off from one of the riggers so I started setting that one up again and our flasher/fly combo went from 167 to about 250. My daughter had the rod and started the fight from there. A few minutes later and the fish was at 280 (goin the wrong way). I was hoping having her come out would help in the LOC. She got the fish in 22 minutes later. Nice fish and fight but only a 18 pound 2 ounce fish (not LOC material). I set the flasher/fly out and told my daughter to bring in the planer board and ten core (it picked up a shaker while she was fighting her fish). My daughter then took a nap as I got us back to shallower ground (I did a poor job paying attention while she was fighting her fish). While she slept, I had a knock of on the meat rig (pulled it in and the meat head was cracked). I checked all lines and changed some spoon colors. Took a while before our next fish came on the rigger (while fighting this fish, our inline planer released at some point). Once she got the fish in from the rigger, we noticed the planner board had released (nothing on the line). I slowly started the process of taking one line in to call it a day and started organizing the boat. Then, our last fish. The dipsy and the flasher/fly again. The pictures are in the order they were caught. All were revived and released (hopefully they will make it). It was a nice day to spend in some rain with my daughter.
