  2. Good catch Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I got two Cannon DigiTroll 5 for 3 years now. Whatever line it came with, probobly 150lb as well. ----- On old boat I had 2 walkers , probobly made right after WW2 lol. Got them used, never had problem with cables. In fact I got cable on my prop in tight turn , spool it up on my prop, stall the engine and f@@ked up my gunnel. Cable still in tack 😂😂😂 Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Not sure but it seems that guys with fish hawk the only ones who have problems with cable. Wondering now if sending Unit is the problem some how :/ Any ideas ? My old riggers had cables that about 10 Years old and never lost a ball :// Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. Was at bronte last Sunday. From 6pm till 9pm. 100-120 FOW , 30-50 down. Got 4 trout. All on flasher and fly. At 3mph Sent from my SM-G925W8 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Sad news People have to think safe first of all. Thats why im not going out on my own.
  9. Hey , took little trip to st. Cathrines today. Water is open , boat ramp is accesible as well , but no boats on water. How you think - is it make sence head out this early ? --- Local Guys fishing from pier , catching some.
  10. So ? How you did ? Any luck ?
  11. Good luck! This weekend ill be fishing in lindsay (sturgeon lake ) , but ill go to jordan harbour during the week )
  12. Was at bronte last thursday , not many fish there , things are way better at st. Catrines (jordat harbour ) Would recommend to spend extra 30min driving to there
  13. Went out from oakville (bronte rd) , came at 1pm , not much action till 4pm. Trolled from 50fow to 220fow. Got two small steelheads , one came on rapala tail dancer 30ft down (flatline ) , another on rigger - yellow/gold spoon 40ft down. ----- Slow fishing otherwise. 😔
  14. Usualy not. My boat goes 3.7kmh in idle, when you switch in neutral for 10sec - speed falls to 0.8-1.2 kmh , so there is still tension on lines. If you run heavy spoons or frashers - tangle can happen. Stick baits usialy floats bu nature --- Just try your combinations and you can work it tangle free
  15. Went out at 9.30 - trolled 30fow , hokked one fish , after 12.00 stopped marking any fish , trolled from 20 to 60fow - nothing. Went to 170fow , was getting marks on buttom , finaly hooked a lake trout on jigging (no luck trolling ) , At 5pm came back to 30fow - marks started to apear , end up getting one more steelhead about 7pm , Kind of slow day for me today ------- Trolled stickbaits (deep ones and shallow ) - flat line 180-240ft out One line on rigger - 100ft out , 15ft down. ------- Switching to neutral for 10sec every 5min - lended me the second fish ------- Bright colors works better , all strikes on baits with yellow and red
  16. Had same story at jordan harbour yestarday ---- I have a sily question - what channels people use on lake ontario ? Thanks
  17. I would say yes. 49f - dont think one degree makes big difference --- Still had good marks , but doesnt seems very active
  18. Went out May21 again , and its DEAD Same tactic , trolled 20-50FOW with speed from 1.6km to 4km - had one strike - nothing else. ---- Will be back saturday
  19. Good one ) You dont need much, there is always a waves even with no wind. ðŸ‘
  20. 48F on the surface as my sonar shows ,
  21. Motor is off , usualy im using my ipilot to keep me on the spot , but that day weather was nice with no wind at all
  22. Went out from marina , near jordan harbour , 10$ to launch the boat - pleny of parking - very nice place , ----- Trolled 30-45FOW, right on the edge of muddy river stread and clear lake water , 2.5-3.5 kmh , one flatline - 200ft back , one line on rigger - 15-20ft down - 100ft back ----- 5 rainbows , 2 salmon , 2 lost (no hook set ) 1 snap the line ----- Was very agressive if you put in neutral - 5sec every 3min, or change depth on rigger 2-3ft up or down On flatline Let the line out a few feet once a while. ------ No luck on planner boards. -----
