  1. Not sure, but I thought removable curtains across the back of the house was an option. Worth a look. I love that style of boat, but j too think they would get really hot in the Summer. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I was wondering this same thing. I read through the docs I could find and didn't see anything that precluded actually fishing and the actual travelling to fish. This is mainly my inference as to the small group size and not congregating. The increased frequency of shoppers at bait stores/gas stations may get someone in trouble though. Is it spelled out anywhere obvious? If so, I couldn't find it. For instance, Fat Nancy's is still open to sell gas and propane. Could someone go in and buy bait, some spoons and a few Rapalas too? Sure. Could Fat Nancy's, or the shopper get into trouble. I don't have the answer to that question. Now, God forbid, if someone needed help and required Sheriff or USCG assistance, that's another story. I could see a citation coming in that scenario. I am putting together a charter fishing boat in Henderson and working on my own. I hope I am ok there. I may have to go to the hardware store. Could I/should I get a citation for that? Once again, I don't have the answer. Matt Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  4. It's not foolproof, but I believe Mercury has a prop selection tool on their website. Since you're running a Mercruiser drive, they should have what you're looking for. I am sure you could give them a call too. Matt.
  5. I feel your pain. I looked and looked all Fall for one. Never found one that fit the puzzle. Ended up buying a Shamrock 260. Last I knew, Pennyanguy has a twin screw 260 for sale. I was looking for a single. There are quite a few single Penn Yans running around Henderson Harbor. Keep your eyes on the marinas down there. They do come for sale occasionally, but get scooped up pretty quick. Best of luck to you. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. A bit of a haul, but sure looks nice. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/boa/d/lakeside-marblehead-wellcraft-2800/7052797403.html Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. PLoveland, this would make a great charter fishing boat. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. When I am putting stuff together to fish, I check my mono by pulling out a bunch, like 30-50 or so feet onto a clean floor. I then reel it back up pinching it between my thumb and pointer finger. If when the mono is all reeled back up, I have a collection of white chalk on my fingers where I pinched it, it is time to change it. If it is clean, I run it. 9. Just to let people know, I marked this ad "Sold/Closed" only so it didn't sit open ended out there in the interwebs indefinitely. I still own the boat, and will still entertain offers and such until it sells. I am going bigger and have my eyes on something. This boat is currently professionally winterized, wrapped and sitting on the trailer. If interested, make an offer. I will let her go for a reasonable offer. Matt.
  10. For sure. Just happens to be currently stripped down as it sits in storage. I will include the electronics though if wanted. Matt Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. Honestly, I've never used a cannon where I didn't have to hold the button in the down position for a short period of time to halt the upward momentum. I thought that was how they were designed. Mag10a, new Mag 5's, Mag 10HS, Marlins...all the same procedure. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. Never put them out the stern. Attach to side or bow of your boat. They will keep the boat slow and level in the water. Matt
  15. I am guessing about 3000. Hour meter was unplugged at 2600 when I bought it 5 years ago.
  16. Last price drop, then going to storage for the rest of the season. $9900.
  17. I have fished Cannon electrics and Scotty electrics extensively. If I had my choice, and $$ was no object, I had enough room to put them on, I would go with Scotty hands down. The only downfall is they are big and require a lot of room.
  18. I don't have a hard and fast number for you on that one. Maybe borrow a trailer from someone? The spec sheet for this boat calls for a trailer rated for 5500 lbs for reference. Matt.
  19. Thanks. We really like this boat. Family cruiser, salmon killer all with ease. Has handled some rough slop here on the eastern end of Lake Ontario. If it were bigger I would be keeping it. She's going up for storage soon, need to move the new rig home.
  20. Getting pulled, washed, winterized and stored soon. If you're at all thinking about making an offer, now is the time. She's still in the water if anyone wants a look-see. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. This one's got to go. Make an offer, I may just accept it. Never hurts to ask. New and bigger rig is coming home soon. Matt.

  23. The previous owner liked to acid wash the hull often. The residual acid sat in any low spot in the trailer, and the wood bunks and rotted out the steel over time. The uprights holding the bunks are rotted out pretty bad. The boat will sit on the trailer in the yard for storage just fine, but I would not take it down the highway or over any bumps at speed. I can transfer the title to the new owner, but I would not recommend going far from Chaumont, NY with the boat on it. Just being honest. Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  25. 9.9 seems too big for a square stern canoe. Put that 9.9 on a 14' aluminum that are dime-a-dozen on craigslist. You will be safer, more stable and have more room to work. matt
