  1. On my 1802, there’s a small pvc pipe like Gill-T said, it’s located all the way down at the bottom of the bilge where it meets the transom and the bulkhead holding the water back (I hope that makes sense). I reach down in through the bilge access by the motor and use stiff wire or stick to free up any clogs.
  2. I’ve used Purple Taco Fly Supply. They have everything thing you need. https://www.purpletacoflysupply.com Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Yes, I have some… only problem is they’re at home and I’m at the lake! If you can wait a couple weeks, I’ll get you some when I get back. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Good to meet you sir!!! I guess we should’ve went out not in! 🤣 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Went outta Westcotts on 7/1. Stay closer to red buoy on your way out and in. At least 3.5 ft deep. Motored out and dropped lines off the lighthouse. Couldn’t find good temp break. Fished Lakers to try to get my buddies kid in something. He reeled in a nice one! Went outta Stony today… there was an empty double axel and triple axel trailer in the lot, so I figured it was more than deep enough for me. TackleThis (the charter boat for those that frequent here) was tied up at its dock too. Probably 3.5 feet at the shallowest. Cold weather and rain and it was 45 degrees down 70! Lots of boats moving around. Found marks. Fished 135, 120ish, 90ish, structure, flats. No takers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Anybody been out of stony lately, how’s the channel? Also, anyone have a fishing report? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Agreed. You could walk on the jetty and look, it’s not far a walk. Know where the spit bar is... If it looks too sketchy, move on to Henderson, i mean if you’re passing it. The thing I like about westcott’s is you’re right into the bay quick and can put the throttle down. Anyway, I’ll try to check it Mem weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Also, I swung by westcotts early May... floating dock was in (pic from May 1). Launch looked good. Didn’t use it though. Went out of Sackets, pulled the boat around the corner of the cement slabs to get in easier. Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. No twist for me either. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. I tow a 450 copper with braid backing on these releases. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Went out for eyes today in the BRB. We went 2 for 3. Lost a monster. At one point while at the helm, I heard the pee can hit the deck and “fish on!” Ended up landing a D.O. fish! [emoji23] He did manage to tuck it while fighting the fish, so does it qualify? Not sure it matters! 🤣 Great to be out! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Shakedown out of Stony creek Friday evening. It’s definitely shallow as mentioned. I have a trophy 1802. Buoys are in, but a couple knocked over/missing. I followed the tracks on my gps from previous trips and was fine. Got lines in shortly out into the lake and headed south. Picked up a laker first, then an eye, then a brown. Also out Saturday 9:30ish-4:30ish. A big brown and 2 Lakers. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  14. If you read previous threads, you’ll find a lot of members use 30lbs mono on there rigger rods for salmon. It helps to keep the fleas off when they get bad. Use a fluoro leader off the mainline. No need to spool fluoro on the entire reel (although it’ll work, it’s just more expensive). I use 17-20lbs fluoro for leaders for salmon. So to answer your initial question, you should be fine. You could always tie on a lighter leader if the fish get finicky. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Thanks for the report Rusty. We’re headed up mid April... hope the water comes up! [emoji51] If not, may have to trailer further. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Look through the new regs... https://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/fish_marine_pdf/fishguide21.pdf Previous regs allowed for out of season c and r for bass almost statewide, except for Jefferson county (where my place is). Looks like they locked up some more counties and places. Go to your region and see if there are any special regs. If not, then state regs would apply. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. Will probably still catch!!! Keep it up! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  18. Not to burn spots, but does anyone want to point me in likely directions for Pike in the BRB or Henderson area? I haven’t targeted Pike in quite some time. We used to fish in May in Henderson Bay for Pike (Sackets side near Horse island and Bolton’s). But they would more out shortly after Looking for more likely places near by and for more of the fishing season. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  20. I use the same set up, a little shorter on the leader (around 6’) so someone else doesn’t take the swivel into the guides. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Went out of Stony this evening. Dropped lines at 5, pulled em at 8. Found good temp and marks... only took a white fish and a dragged a small laker for a little bit. Best screens over 125 fow give or take. Getting a little frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Yes it’s and e z steer system. I got it used on here. I believe it was actually for an I/O to kicker, but made it work. Definitely helps. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Was out yesterday in the trench. First solo trip. Dropped riggers at 7, pulled lines at 10. Had 47 degrees down 90ish. The were marks on the screen. Counted 22 boats at one point. Didn’t see any nets move, and only had a small brown when I went in shallow for some relief from the winds. No skunk! I’ll take it for my first solo trip. I was happy to get my gear in an manage to steer! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Thanks for the tips everyone. Burt’s does not have them, but have helped with an impeller and impeller pin. It’s unavailable on marineengine. I’ll be trying to call Laing’s and Mayer’s today. Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Looking for a choke rod for a 1969 Evinrude 9.5 sportwin. If anyone has parts engine laying around with the choke knob and rod intact, please let me know and we can try to work something out. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
