  3. Edited original post with dates for the 2019 season. Off season rate is $80/night, you choose your dates!!! Also, the last week of August is still open at the summer rate of $850, stay through Labor Day for $1000. Great place for the family to hang while you head out on the lake!!! Kings will be loaded in the Trench, also in front of Stony and Sandy Creek. See original post and PM for details.
  4. The quick answer... yes, it’s worth it. I think you kinda said it here. The large investment would allow you to place your gear in the right area for all of the precious hours you get to fish. I have a X4D. I had my aunts boyfriend on the boat from AZ and we only had a few hours to fish. It was rough and we could only fish down wave. With deep currents and swell, my kicker could get no more than a 1.9-2.0 down speed, so I dropped the rigs a little lower and banged some lakers for him. I wanted to get him a king, but conditions weren’t going to allow it. Yes I could’ve started the big engine, but we were comfortable after banging out through the waves and I knew within 10 minutes to change tactics. He was actually surprised how quickly we got on fish. He was pleased to get into some fish and had a blast. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  6. My brother hung up one of Bikinibottom’s and it did bend the fin slightly and tracks slightly to one side. I have 4 of those (same colors pictured above) all others have bounced the bottom a few times or more with no issue. Just happy my brother didn’t snap a cable and leave it on the bottom! [emoji51] Also, I have both Bikinibottom’s and Troutman87’s. They both track well. I switch depending on depth. My torpedos are heavier, so deep riggers and Bikinibottom on wings. Or bikini for shallower program. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. It’s a nice launch. Theres a sand bar at the mouth of the jetty, stay towards the red marker. A bit of a longer run, but once you’re out of the jetty you can put the throttle all the way down. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. I was out as well today... launched out of Westcott’s because the bay was flat. Ran to almost the lighthouse and dropped lines, trolled past the mountain out towards to finger (130-150) when I had enough rockin and rollin, pulled lines and headed back, set back up inside light house for flatter water, 110-90 through high rocks. Marked some pockets stacked fish in 100 fow, 80’ to bottom, nobody wanted to play. Temps were up high. Temps were good, fish were not!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. I know that normal gray crayfish can have a gene missing and will cause there shell to be blue... same species, just missing a gene. Maybe it’s something like that?! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Thanks everyone! It’s truly great! Was out the past few days, with my kids and cousins... did some damage on the perch. Got over 100 total. Best haul, yesterday, 72. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  16. Since I was little my family always called it the green boat. I had extra vinyl from lettering my other boat and thought, why not! Everyone that knows the boat knows it as such, and now you do too! Lol!!! - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  17. Yes I’m at Morgia’s, been here since I was born. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  18. For your rigger rods, you can strip off enough line to put on 200’ or so of 30lbs test... just what you’ll drag through the water column while attached to your rigger. If it’s a diver set up, you’re going to want to go with wire. - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  19. This has been a long time coming, but I’ve finished the major repairs and upgrades on a 1966 aluminum Starcraft my grandfather left me when he passed. I grew up fishing in this boat around Henderson Bay and the Black River Bay with my grandpa and family. It’s such a sight to have it moored in front of the cottage once again, waiting for it’s next outing. New floor, paint job, new used engine with controls and electric start. An older depth finder from another upgrade on my other boat. I gave it a sea trial this afternoon and all is working and ready to go. Can’t wait! - GBL Puffer II: 1802 Trophy Green Boat: 1966 Starcraft Mariner-V 14
  20. Good, bad, ugly... Out this morning got to trench around 7:15. Trolled from the pill boxes past the mountain. 44 degrees down 90 ft. 1 skippy and 2 releases with nothing home. Spoon and flasher fly. Picked up and headed towards finger, found fish hugging bottom in 90 fow on the finger, dropped down for them, 52 degrees, no one wanted to play. Picked up and headed out to finger, 41 degrees down 115. Nothing for us out there. Pulled lines at 11:30. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
