    This derby was unbeliveable. we fished morning and nights never saw a boat on the north end hook up with a fish all weekend. We managed to scrape out 2 rainbows in 3 days and one 2 lb perch...it was huge. That was it for the weekend. Happened to grab 5th place with the one rainbow just shy of 7 lb mark.     Posting this for a friend of mine. 2005 crusier 300 express. 260 hours twin volvo pentas dual props. Galley... head... lcd tv ... canvas and cockpit cover ... foward and aft beds. Boat is in fantastic shape and is turn key. I know its not a fishing boat but is one sweet ride for someone who is looking or know someone looking for a cruiser.     Yeah i will be looking to go offshore after dorado tuna sails and what not. Ive gone out of palm beach a lot a few years ago. Ive been doing a bunch of research but that only takes you so far. Figured id see if anyone had sone personal experience good or bad. So i know what to look for or what to avoid.     I cant just keep my fishing to the big lake.... i am going to be headed down to punta cana in the end of april in the dominican for vacation this year and cant pass up the opportunity to wet a line down there. Cause what good is a vacation if you can't fish. As for a charter down there i havnt booked one yet and i was looking for recomendations of people that have had experience. I appreciate any info.     I run a mix of challenger, rapala, smithwick,and thunderstick...... im just getting some bay rats in the mix. Mostly fishing oswego to rochester..... i havnt tried many of the shorter bodied sticks..... would you say you have better sucess on the shorter sticks or the longer sticks?
