Quick question, is there a good way to set up downrigger that are easy to remove? I have swivel mounts now, however when I use the boat socially they get in the way. I can't use quick released because my boat is in a cradle and can't have the arms over the side. I've never tried gimble mounts, how do they work?

Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with buying a boat in the New Jersey/Long island area? I see a lot for sale there with really low hours and 4-5 thousand less than here and think how bad can salt water really be?

Looking for a 21-24 foot Walk Around, must be a outboard, must have trailer and made after 2000 between 10k and 20k. PM me if you have something like this available. Will travel for the right boat. Justin

It's a cheap lowarnce, I probably have it at 200, I'll change the settings tonight and follow up. -
I seem to lose sight of my downrigger balls about 40 feet. Does anyone angle their transducer differently to pick up behind their boat?
