  1. That’s a beautiful spot!! Everything u want to catch is right off ur dock practically. Picton channel is dynamite fishing for just about everything. Couldn’t have picked a better location. Enjoy!!!
  2. Congratulations to ur friend! Grindstone is a wonderful area and has a unique community steeped in history. My aunt was actually the last school teacher on grindstone- the last one room school house in NY. I fish around the grindrock a lot. There is a lot of ground to cover. If u follow the fish from the spawning areas in the spring to deeper water as the year progresses….. the patterns r quite predictable. Best of luck and enjoy!!! R u on the front or back side?
  3. Probably the only thing as good as walleye right now..... sweet corn. Nice work!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Earlier this year, Had a cruiser pass so close to me his running gear snagged my long line and spooled me before I could even react. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  8. They definitely mow zebras! Seen them in stomach contents. Also crabs and the occasional minnow from what i have read. If u look in their mouth u can see they have little hard plates.... for crushing shells I assume. Feel like drum don’t get the credit they deserve. Great fighters, Decent table fare, And they play an important role in our river ecosystem. Cool fish imho. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Drum are delicious. They eat a diet similar to smallies. The key is getting on ice as soon as they are caught. The meat starts to decompose quickly otherwise and will taste fishy. If handled correctly its firm and delicious!! Under 8 pounds are best. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Great catch Kevin. Making memories. Good stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Makita is 1180 lbs. have had my LXT 18v hammer drill for 5 years. Extremely reliable. Drilled a lot of holes. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. So glad to hear this story had a happy ending. Great job Bill and all involved. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Kevin, Very exciting!!! Congrats on a great catch and prioritizing it’s successful release. Muskie are such a precious asset to our fishery and vulnerable in the summer months as surface temps rise. I keep nipps and bolt cutters in the boat for just such an occasion. I am pleased to hear the muskie released u safely, as well. Kno less fortunate anglers who have lost fingers tangling with big fish in nets. Thank you for being a fine steward of our river and sharing this wonderful experience. Tight lines. Esox Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Some good looking forage there Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I believe the most recent comprehensive fishery study indicated that overall Bass population was down nearly 25%. Gobie and other pressures were thought to b the cause. Not good. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
