Made my way up north for a business meeting and to chase some pan fish. Very cold morning with wind chill values of 10 below. Several bodies of water with 3-4" of ice in places.....Hyde lake and black lake had anglers on the ice. Had decent luck with the blue gills and sunnies today. 2/3 of pail. Few perch Caught and 12-15 crappies all short, unfortunately...... Spikes with small jigs took most fish today... Fun day. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Thanks sk8man. Duly noted. A couple years ago the ice was 25" on the SLR and 30" + on chaumont bay. That was quite a year! Lot of work drilling even with a power auger. Definitely going to keep the jiffy for the thick ice. Looking forward to the weight reduction when ice conditions permit the use of the drill however! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Fixed my issue by upgrading to 18v hammer cordless drill and hand drill conversion, lol. Only using the heavy jiffy for thick ice now. Psyched! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Congrats!! Look forward to pics in the coming hours. The whitetails will to survive always surprises and amazes me. I guess thats what 3.5 million years of evolution will do to a species of herbivores....Make them survivors. That said, Even the toughest critter cant overcome .50 cal at 55 yards for long. Good luck!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
