  4. Sadly, the ones that get away are always the biggest. I know that I have a couple brutes that haunt my dreams. Sorry gramp didnt get his buck but glad he missed cleanly. Sounds like good hunting where u r, pap. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  6. Lol. Kinda have to agree there... Shooting when visibility doesn't exceed 30 yards is a whole other can of worms. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Been a while since i looked at that chart. Knew it was a meaningful difference across the state. Didnt know it was 30 min! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  11. I would love to pet a deer.... Tho something inside me says its not quite right. My buddy has a summer place on racquet lake and they have pet deer up there, as well. They pet them and feed them bread etc. you start treating them like that... It would sure be more difficult to go hunting I would think. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  16. Couldnt agree more pap... Saw this and thought it poignant. "One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted...If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. 19. Poachers suck.... We lease property in stuben county and have to deal with that sort of thing as well. Cannot keep the locals out. Really takes the joy out of hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  22. Sorry to hear that man... Equipment failures just suck. If there is a silver lining, at least both shots were clean misses. Hope its an easy fix. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. That sucks.... It can be real hard to be patient this time of year. Surprised how much chasing is still going on. Guys i hunted with last night in 6G saw a 6pt and 4pt chasing. My other buddy saw a 4pt with a doe and he tried mounting her 4 or 5 times but she wasnt quite ready. I dont recall such intense breeding activity this late in the season, particularly in the northern zone. Any thoughts on this? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Are you stating fact or opinion? I am not 100% sure but I recall reading an article about this subject and I believe the technology exists. It seems pretty invasive tho even if its application would be for the protection of property..... Im sure it would not take long to fall into the wrong hands and be misused. This is probably why the technology has not been leveraged in some application. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. Nice deer Giz. Dusty that is a real nice 6. Congrats. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
