  1. Holy crud. What a comeback! Without a doubt a bunch of hard work. You earned it young man. Congratulations.
  2. Really cool. Please share if you have knowledge of this mystery. Thank you.
  3. Was down on the dock winterizing the motors today. No dead fish near me, clear water . Had a few blooms by us this year. Not much of a sawbelly die off this spring and at least in front of our place the weeds weren't nearly as high as previous years. Trout fishing improving.
  4. Really good question s I haven't thought about Roy's boys dec, we know you monitor these thriedes , please comment to us..
  5. Wow. I haven't been to Keuka in a couple decades. Back then it was common to limit out on lakers in a couple hours. Usually just up to 5 lbs. Loss of bait maybe, but pollution, really? With all that money living on the shore seems like they would be screaming. Idk. Anyone fishing there regularly care to weigh in?
  6. 👍Paying it forward. May good karma shine upon you.
  7. Congratulations Frogger and everyone. Was a great derby, weather was awesome for 2 days. So enjoyable and already looking forward to next year. This lake is on it's way back. I think, looking at the big picture, the Dec has a decent picture of what is happening. Of course., everything subject to Mother Nature's whim.
  8. Ah ha. Someone else has a 4 legged fish locator.
  9. Really good fish! Beats my pb on Cayuga by several pounds. Congratulations!
  10. Got out for an hour today, had one decent fish on for a minute. Temperature 57,lots of bait and numerous marks. If the weather holds it could be really good derby.
  11. Hey Polski, didn't want to leave you hanging...boat hoist maintenance guys rescheduled for today so didn't get out. Like many local guys I get quiet a week before the derby. Generally speaking on Seneca this time of year a person would do well to work the points. Also hard to go wrong working 80 to 120 feet of water. Good luck, hope you come in second place!🫠
  12. Going to wet some lines tomorrow. Anything exciting will let you know.
  13. Really good report, thank you. So good to see that quality fish released. Fiberglass fish look great and the story is the same.
  14. Thanks salmonsize, been out on the road a few days. Link was perfect.
  15. Oops. Forgot to add that article is in this month's Conservationist.
  16. FYI, a nice article (imo) regarding Seneca with some ancient history.

  18. Mine is flat enough to fit a large battery box surrounded by Styrofoam. Plenty of places to attach ss hooks to attach rubber bungees to strap battery down.
  19. For sure needs to be strapped down. Placement towards the bow helps mitigate the weight of the trolling motor on the stern.
  20. I've got a '97 19.6 Fishmaster. I've located a big 12v gel battery in the floor storage in front of the bow seat for riggers, and a 12 v dual purpose in the stern port side.

  22. Great thread. From my Dad many years ago. He was trolling n on the east side as he usually did. Off to his port he noticed a loon acting weird. As he passed his rigs (thermocline, thanks Dad) started bobbing. He grabbed the rod, brought it in and of course the loon started moving. Eventually Dad pulled in a rod/reel combo (that I use to this day) he pulled the line in as close as he could and cut it. Anyway got a bunch but Dad was there.
  23. I will agree with chrome slayer. I shoot a savage with smokeless and the powerbelts produce fine accuracy but I have had dismal expansion results on 3 deer. I no longer use them.
  24. A bit off topic but my neighbor and I recently planted a dozen chestnuts down in Seneca cnty. I planted the collossul (sp) chestnut out of I think washington st.supposed to be blight resistant. My kids will find out.
