  1. Skipper 19, thank you for sharing a very personal experience. I suspect many of the folks on here have had an experience,if not identical,at least similar to the one you described. I know I have. I t does indeed change a person 's perspective on why we do what we do. All the best to you. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  2. Hehehe. That stinker slithered down into the bilge, couldn't get him out. Came back 4 days later, had to tape a barbeque fork to a broom. Got him finally, but used half a bottle of dawn to clean things out... Sent from my XT1254 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. Curious If people are seeing many acorns this year. The white oak at my house has quite a few, but not as many as last year. My two red oaks at home have not produced any for the last 2 years. I`m seeing some in the woods, seems like not as many as last year.
  8. "Illustrious"?? Not sure what that means! Is it a disease?? The only disease I have had long term is "ff" (fishing fever) Last few years it goes into remission around mid October, codicentially the same time bow season kicks in. PS - count me in for a lou contest just for bragging rights.

  10. I'm all for giving"how to" and basic assistance to younger fisherman, but also believe that as they discover the stuff that works for them, they achieve more of an appreciation when they have success, however they may define that word themselves. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  11. Would love to see how you run your rigs. Can't understand from the written description how you don't constantly get tangled. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  23. Yeah, back in my first life I had the string deal on my big hoist, way better. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah, I may end up doing that. Been thinking about your method of entering from front. Hoist controls are towards lake, have been entering from back. Maybe removable planks so Tasha and Mrs. can get in the front. Will keep experimenting.😃 Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
  25. I have a board spanning between hoist legs. Didn't think about hanging a rope, good idea. Also have a 72lb. Senior canine that loves to boat, but not so easy mounting and dismounting. Somehow manage to get it done. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
