  2. Lakebound 88, thanks for the tips. Back in the 50`s and 60`s I cut my teeth around Willard with my Dad. Back in that area again and thought I remembered some of the good old spots. Guess Father Time is messing with me. Not panicking yet, I know things are going to improve. Wonder if anyone has been working the Dresden area, thinking of trying that next.
  3. Good for you, at least you are having some action. Third time outforme that I`ve had a zero. Stayed in 30-20ft tonight, topline and one down about 15 ft. Trolled from St. Pete`s up to Willard. Hope I`m using up all the bad karma now...
  4. Amen. Will be well used and taken care of. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  8. I tend to lean the way Ray does. I`ve been trying these (to me) newfangled techniques; lead core, wire w/dipseys, downriggers, and it`s a real PITA for me. I find I have lures out of the water more than in clearing lines, reeling in 5000 feet of leadcore, etc. Besides catching something, man it`s nice to just sit back, have a cup of coffee and enjoy the day. Put two rods out, sit back, play cards or read, and wait for the big one. Now that`s fishing in my book.
  9. A bit off topic, but I`ve been seeing quite a few jakes and a few older birds. Last night I had them gobbling from 3 directions, Going to hunt them with my long bow this year.

  12. I`m gonna go out on a limb and guess you really fear your wife`s wrath. I love my wife, but I might have just drilled a couple holes to let the water out. y ou also could have just bought her a new car....
  13. Yes, totally agree on that! Got out tonight, lost a nice one on dipsey, probably 30 feet down. Beautiful sunset. Hey Les, I was over to Runnings yesterday, heard some guy talking about a guy who was trying to make an aquarIum out of his wifes car?? Care to comment? Or would you like me to elaborate?!!
  14. Got out yesterday morning for a couple hours-shake down run. Not much happening, fished in 450 500 feet. around Lodi Pt. Marked fair amount of bait 350-400 feet down. One little guy on the rig, managed to shake him off. Nothing on 2 top lines, running stickbaits. Surface temp 40.. Sorry for the line...Back at it this evening.
  15. Location? Shipping? Tx.
  16. Thanks. With me, luck has about 90% to do with catching something!

  21. Sure does seem late. I`ve got a trail cam pic from two weeks ago with a deer looking at the cam from about 2 feet. You can see the bumps on his head where new antlers have started.
  22. Ah ha! I think I`ll keep that info in my back pocket in case he tries any "funny stuff". TY.
  23. Please don't put the hex on me.I don't want to get skunked on Derby weekend.[emoji29] Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  25. Water temp back down to 43 yesterday. This wind has mixed the water up. Yes I know there is a line through these sentences. No, I don`t know how to eliminate it.
