Yep, that's the one. Sounds like you fellas are catching some good numbers. Good luck this season. Maybe we'll see you on the water on Seneca.

Off topic but I have to comment on Tom. One of the most honest, nice fellas I`ve ever met. Definitely the toughest guy I ever knew. Over the years Tom processed a small mountain of deer for me. About 15 years ago I sold him a thermocline rig, a green 6 1/2 footer w/ a penn 49m. Maybe you inherited it.
Dropped the thermometer in today for the season. A couple time a week I`ll post the temps. Taken a bit N of Lodi Pt. in 3 feet of water. Today it`s 44. (Yes, I have a bad case of cabin fever too.)
I ended my season last night, catching a doe at 4:15 pm sneaking through hardwoods on her way out to feed in the hay fields. It has been pretty slim pickins in zone 8s and 8j the last two weeks. Final tally for me; a doe and buck in bow, a doe and buck in rifle, and a doe in muzzle. I have more tags but have plenty of venison for family and friends. Saw 7 different bucks in bow season, only 1 buck in gun. The monarch buck that a lot of us were after was taken in early gun. All in all a very enjoyable season for me.Thanks to Legacy for the thread again this year, and all who contributed. It has been great to hear others experiences and see some great bucks. Hop
Nice. I tagged an 8 point last night right at dark. He was bedded at the bottom of a steep ravine. Started up the side, probably to feed in a nearby white oak grove. Not a huge guy but I`m very happy with him.
Does anyone know why there was a chopper North of Lodi Pt. around 4pm today? Was about in the middle of the lake hovering low enough to kick up lots of spray. Thoughts are a training exercise; rescue; stocking fish? (kind of expensive to stock this way)
It seems like a LOT of folks are tagging beautiful deer this season. Great going! No horns in 8j today. 4 single doe,one of which is now in the back of my pickup.
